  1. Hot sauce on scrambled eggs is a breakfast staple. I’ve never heard of it on grits. Using grits as a method to eat hot sauce changes the whole equation. Hot sauce on oatmeal doesn’t sound good at all, but I’ve certainly never tried it.
  2. Grits have very little nutritional value compared to oat meal, which is a pretty low bar. I like grits, but I don’t eat them very often due to their low nutritional value. No matter which one, the temptation to load it with cream, sugar, honey, syrup, etc. is another concern.
  3. This sucks more than anything that's ever sucked before. We must find this butt-hole that took our TV. (Beavis and Butt-Head Do America)
  4. Oh yeah, I'll tell you somethin' I think you'll understand When I say that somethin' I want to hold your hand I want to hold your hand I want to hold your hand Oh please, say to me You'll let me be your man And please, say to me You'll let me hold your hand Now, let me hold your hand I want to hold your hand
  5. It's just another manic Monday I wish it was Sunday 'Cause that's my fun day My "I don't have to run" day It's just another manic Monday
  6. Well, Raymond? Aren't you more comfortable in your favorite K-Mart clothes?
  7. Just walk away Renee You won't see me follow you back home The empty sidewalks on my block are not the same You're not to blame
  8. I used to tell my son that he and his buddies should determine who’s going to be captains of their pickup basketball games based on who could piss highest up a tree. That’s the way dogs would do it. He just looked at me like I was weird or something. Imagine that.
  9. The link is broken (since it’s 2 years old), so what is Linda Hall commenting about? Boyst62 hasn’t posted in a while as far as I can tell, so why was this thread revived? Inquiring minds...
  10. He looks like he’s lost a lot of weight. It would take time and discipline to build it back up, even with the help of modern medicine. I can’t see it happening.
  11. I would put running, cycling, kayaking, and surfing in the sport category with an asterisk. If done as a team, or with strategy involved, they could be sports. Same goes for beach volleyball, ping pong, tennis, or badminton. In your back yard or basement with beer, they are activities. If done to their fullest, they are sports. Maybe I should put this reply in the “Unpopular Opinion” thread.
  12. I meant buying a team today, at current prices. Maybe I'm wrong, but if the Pegulas, for example, end up building a new stadium, then that will be an expensive undertaking. Even if they get subsidized by taxpayer money, It will take a long time to recoup that investment. I also look at the money thrown away on Rex Ryan, etc. Many of us thought that was a dumb decision in the first place, but it was also an expensive decision. Maybe billionaires don’t worry about a few million dollars, but I doubt it. It’s things like that that make me think buying a team today is done for the enjoyment, not for the profit.
  13. I believe owners should be appreciated, since there are many investments that are more profitable than owning an NFL team. I believe there is too much trading in the NFL. The roster can change completely over about three years. That detracts from the ability to cheer for a team, you’re basically cheering for a logo. I have mixed feelings about fantasy football. It’s fun, but it completely changes the game day experience. People are checking their web sources to find out how their fantasy team is doing, and not living in the moment with their “favorite” team. I give TB12 credit, he is willing to take less money personally so that the team can be better. When he gets mad at his offensive line, at some level he could be thinking that he is partially responsible for their big salaries, and that makes his frustration a little more personal and understandable. It doesn’t hurt that his wife is also super rich. I believe football will suffer from a loss in popularity in the next few years, based on the seriousness of brain injuries and the loss in popularity at the high school level. NASCAR is an example of a “sport” that lost popularity as its fan base changed or got old. Constantly tweaking the rules doesn’t help.
