  1. Darlin', give me a head with hair, long beautiful hair Shining, gleaming, steaming, flaxen, waxen Give me down to there hair, shoulder length or longer Here, baby, there, momma, everywhere, daddy, daddy Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair Flow it, show it, long as God can grow it, my hair
  2. My son was an all-league linebacker in our suburban high school league. He went to a D3 school with the intention of playing. He blew out his knee his freshman year, and he also realized that he couldn’t play football and take hard classes at the same time. Some kids can but he is not one of those kids. He quit football and got serious about school. Everyone in the family thinks that blowing out his knee could have been a blessing in disguise. He also said that the psychological and physical effects of his knee injury are still with him a decade later. He doesn’t understand how so many athletes bounce back from it the way they do.
  3. It was the 24th in Canada, but when is it in the US?
  4. I'm just a wandering on the face of this earth Meeting so many people who are trying to be free And while I'm traveling I hear so many words Language barriers broken, now we've found the key If you want this world of yours to turn about you You can see exactly what to do, don't tell me I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band
  5. I know I’m old, but I really, really, really hate the use of paint to accentuate eyebrows. In some of the pictures with her natural eyebrows she looks good, but in that mugshot all I see are those eyebrows. I can’t wait for this fashion statement to pass, but I’m sure it will be replaced with something equally as stupid looking.
  6. Each morning at dawning Birdies sing and everything A sun kissed miss said "Don't be late!" That's why I can hardly wait Open up, open up, open up that Golden Gate! California, here I come!
  7. I don’t blame Daboll for being mad and showing it. He’s helpless on the sidelines, just watching the putrid execution of his plays and boneheaded mistakes. He could have yelled at the O line for bad play as well. I hope somebody was. JA was getting pressure much too soon and too often. Of course JA holds onto the ball too long, which is another indication of him not using his head. People are saying that the game plan was awful, and people are also saying that JA was ignoring the short passes in favor of long passes. Which is it? JA also has opportunities to change the play with audibles. Maybe the execution was the problem, not the plan. I’m not trying to be so negative on JA, I have faith that he will eventually become very good. I’m just trying to put Daboll’s anger, frustration, and temper in perspective.
  8. I knew a couple who were going to get married outside in a park. The minister didn’t show up, so one of the wedding guests went online and became a “minister” in just a few minutes.
  9. If I recall correctly, a few weeks after Trent came back from his concussion, then got whacked in the head again. I think it was getting whacked a second time within a month that caused him to become afraid of his shadow.
  10. A table saw is probably a good thing to look into. Unless you have a lot of room and money, a smallish table saw for under $500 will be serviceable until you decide just how serious you are. Most of the small ones can be folded up and stored along the wall if you are concerned about limited space. A circular saw is also important for turning big boards into small boards. I know a guy who moved from his house to an apartment when he was about 85 years old. He had a ton of tools, and just put them out on the curb. They were scooped up by his neighbors almost instantly.
  11. But why Dayton? I briefly lived in Dayton 45+ years ago. I can’t think of any reason to go there other than to visit the Air Force Museum, which is awesome. It was such an awful movie, it’s on YouTube for free.
  12. I like this idea for many reasons. Dump off passes to big tight ends should be the kind of play that is called much more often than it has been. It’s usually good for a few yards, and it should be an easy play for a QB. The big tight ends can intimidate the DBs. Does anybody remember Gronk? A Bill wouldn’t get away with a cheap shot, but a few good hits should be a possibility.
  13. How does an offense retaliate? Defense has the hitters, offense has the hittees.
  14. When you see the Southern Cross for the first time You understand now why you came this way 'Cause the truth you might be runnin' from is so small But it's as big as the promise, the promise of a coming day So I'm sailing for tomorrow, my dreams are a dyin' And my love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain I have my ship and all her flags are a flyin' She is all I have left and music is her name
  15. Trent Edwards got a concussion, played again, and a week or two later he got another concussion. After that he was afraid of his own shadow. Josh Allen is not Trent Edwards. I am not a doctor. I’m just sayin’
  16. If Gruden gets the ax he’ll end up with the Raiders. Maybe they can get the tandem bicycle from the Ryans for a photo op.
  17. I had a concussion in high school. The effects were minor at first, but in about an hour I was dizzy and throwing up.
  18. Apparently I forgot to use the sarcasm/humor font. I was attempting to post something nonsensical to bump the thread.
  19. And what happens to the post count of people whose posts were deleted?
  20. I’m watching the Saints-Cowboys game right now. During every play somebody throws a flag, then the refs get in a huddle and decide what penalty the Saints should get. It’s atrocious.
  21. I just had to watch it again. It was the GEICO Play of the Day. Because it’s what enabled the anointed ones to win.
  22. Josh can use his size and strength to do things that Barkley can’t do. Josh is the strongly preferred starter. If Barkley is going to play, then the game plan should involve a lot of running plays, and the passes should be mostly slants and screens. Quick release, short pass types of plays. Occasionally let one fly just to keep the defense honest. That’s a game management approach. I believe that Barkley can do ok in that scenario, for one game at least. The defense will have to make sure that the offense isn’t forced into a shootout.
