  1. With me it’s my left shoulder. About 15 years ago I was playing volleyball, and when I reached way out to hit the ball something in my left shoulder went “OW!” Ever since, my left shoulder is weak, it hurts if I do certain motions, and it occasionally trembles. I’m right handed, so my ability to throw a ball is ok, but I have found that I need a lot of warm up throws. If I just try to throw without warm up it feels like I’ll pull a muscle or something. I also have arthritis in my knees, a perpetually sore big toe on my right foot, and my neck gets stiff pretty often. I’m in my 60s, so I assume most of it comes with age.
  2. Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry Sunshine on the water looks so lovely Sunshine almost always makes me high If I had a day that I could give you I'd give to you the day just like today If I had a song that I could sing for you I'd sing a song to make you feel this way
  3. Mama take this badge from me I can't use it anymore It's getting dark too dark to see Feels like I'm knockin' on heaven's door
  4. Good point. I rarely see a team that I root for get a blowout win. I got carried away.
  5. Teams that punt on 4th and 1 at midfield deserve no respect. I hate that they do that.
  6. I hope this turns into a game with no drama and Buffalo just runs away with it. It’s nice to have a game like that every so often.
  7. The Buffalo offense has been on the field most of the game so far. That should wear down the defense. I hope the fourth quarter is Buffalo running at will.
  8. So far today UB looks like the better team, except they are shooting themselves in the foot. If they don’t settle down they could lose a winnable game.
  9. The tree top walk in Tupper Lake is on my list of things to do. It looks like fun. https://www.wildcatter.org/visit/wild-walk/
  10. This link contains many pictures and videos. It will only be valid for a few days until something else displaces this as a news event https://bigfrog104.com/
  11. All I know is that to me You look like you're having fun Open up your lovin' arms Watch out here I come You spin me right round, baby Right round like a record, baby Right round round round
  12. I’m actually more annoyed by people who end their sentence with “so....” They explain something, then just say “so” rather than complete the thought. Such as: “The plane was going down the runway, and just before takeoff a tire blew, so...” Perhaps going forward you will notice when this happens, even though at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter.
  13. When he first came to the mountains his life was away on the road and hangin' by a song. But the string's already broken and he doesn't really care it keeps changin' fast and it don't last for long. But the Colorado Rocky Mountain high I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky. The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullaby. Rocky mountain high in Colorado.
  14. But it don't matter what you feel You can beg you can borrow or steal But as long as I'm holding the wheel I don't want no spitting on the bus
  15. Come Tomorrow, Will I be older? Come Tomorrow, May be a soldier. Come Tomorrow, May I be bolder than today?
  16. I like football, and I watch several college and pro games each week. I like to see good plays and players. I’ve lived in a few different Upstate NY locations in my life, so being a Bills fan is a natural for me. When the Bills went from being a perennial playoff team to being a perennial average or below average team, I would get grouchy as the season slipped away. I’m not as emotionally invested anymore. I don't follow college or other pro teams in too much detail, and I don’t know who all the top players are. I’m often impressed by the knowledge that other posters have when it’s draft time. My son plays fantasy football so he occasionally gives me updates on who to look out for on other teams.
  17. We always buy candy so that we are prepared even though we rarely get trick or treaters. I used to take the leftover candy to work, and I would just put it on a counter in the office kitchenette. This year I don’t work anymore, but my child bride has a couple more years of work to go so she’ll bring it in. She teaches at a high school, so I don’t think she’ll have a problem getting rid of it.
  18. Zero. I live in a village with houses close together, but my street is on a hillside. On my side of the street you have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the front door, so the kids don’t bother. Sometimes we we get a few kids from the neighborhood, but it was pouring rain yesterday evening so they didn’t bother. About a block away from us they get inundated because the ground is flat so no stairs are involved.
  19. Apparently not. Just like you, I’ve been there, and I’m familiar with the area. I worked near there for over 20 years. As you know, for some reason there are accidents there more often than there should be. That Megabus crash was really awful. It just makes me think there should be some way to do something more, but I don’t know what that would be.
  20. Try to remember the kind of SeptemberWhen life was slow and oh so mellow.Try to remember the kind of SeptemberWhen grass was green and grain was yellow.Try to remember the kind of SeptemberWhen you were a tender and callow fellow.Try to remember and if you rememberthen follow
  21. I can see a lot of incremental changes... - Cell phone that unfolds to be a tablet sized screen - More electric cars - More driverless cars and trucks - More video training and doctor visits - More solar panels on our rooftops - Less use of cash, which means more tracking of our habits and whereabouts - Everything is delivered, almost never go to a store, which means more tracking of our habits I think things like faster airplanes and faster trains might be too expensive and use too much fuel to be practical
  22. I agree that for this bridge the approach from the intersection is pretty short. I still think some sort of warning a few feet farther from the bridge would be possible. In Syracuse on the Onondaga Lake Parkway there is plenty of room for a warning device, and I’ve never understood why they don’t do something. For example, hang vertical lengths of chains that might scratch your vehicle but it won’t be as catastrophic as hitting the bridge.
  23. Some folks are born silver spoon in hand Lord, don't they help themselves, oh But when the taxman comes to the door Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son, no It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no
  24. I’ve never understood why they can’t hang something that will give way that is the same height as the bridge about 50 feet ahead of the bridge so that people will be warned
