I saw that Warner Brothers cartoons (Tom and Jerry) also have warnings about outdated cultural depictions. I’m curious about this, because my daughter has commented that the old Peter Pan movies mock “red Indians”, and it’s pretty obvious that there are racist stereotypes with the crows in Dumbo, just to name a few.

There used to be talk that EJ only gave himself enough time to scan half the field for open receivers. If nobody was open on one half of the field, he would run for it. I’m not comparing Josh to EJ, I’m just wondering if it’s common for a young QB to panic after his first two receivers are covered, and then the film shows that somebody was wide open on the other side of the field. I hope that the game slows down for Josh so that he starts to look over more of the field before he decides to run. I also think that late in the game he’s more willing to throw with anticipation because time is running out and he has to do something. He’s more willing to risk an interception with the game on the line, and it turns out that he’s better at throwing with anticipation than he thinks he is.

A comment that the announcers made was that Allen doesn’t throw with anticipation. Instead he waits for the guy to be open then throws a bullet. I think that’s an accurate assessment, and it’s hard to catch a bullet.

Based on the bolded... If you have a future HOF quarterback, then your odds of going deep into the playoffs are significantly better. There are people on this forum who keep saying that backing into the playoffs is not the goal, winning the Super Bowl is the goal. Those people are less likely to believe that Josh Allen is the guy.

If it’s true that earlier in the game Josh called an audible to send Brown on a go route and then over threw him when Beasley was wide open on a shorter route, then Josh is as much to blame as Daboll or McDermott.
