  8. That was a parody of “I’m Ko Simpson of the Buffalo Bills and I’m worth millions”
  9. It takes research and effort for a vegetarian to get a balanced diet, especially when it comes to protein. You can’t just eat things that taste good. The classic “beans and rice” recipe for getting protein is an example. A pretty, young girl may not like the side effects of beans, but they are important. I would be curious to know what her vegetarian diet really contained. Oh, and yes, and Lordy I hope there are tapes.
  10. Last night as I got home, about a half past ten There was the woman I thought I knew, in the arms of another man I kept my cool, I ain't no fool, let me tell you what happened then I packed some clothes and I walked out, and I ain't going back again So take a letter Maria, address it to my wife Say I won't be coming home, gonna start a new life
  11. Good morning mister sunshine, you brighten up my day Come sit beside me in your way I see you every morning, outside the restaurants The music plays so nonchalant Lonely days, lonely nights. Where would I be without my woman?
  12. Operator, well could you help me place this call? See, the number on the matchbook is old and faded She's living in L.A. with my best old ex-friend Ray A guy she said she knew well and sometimes hated
  13. Holiday, O, A Holiday! And the best one of the year Dozing off underneath my sheets While I cover both my ears
  14. More, more, more How do you like it, how do you like it But if you want to know How I really feel Get the cameras rolling Get the action going
  15. If it was announced at the end of a MNF game, then I was in bed. I don’t think I have ever stayed up to watch the end of a MNF game in my life.
  16. Fascinating discussion. I have had TMJ issues on my left side on and off for a few years. The eye aspect of it is weird and concerning. I get ear aches and ringing in my ear, just on the left side. I went to a doctor for it, and was told they are side effects of TMJ issues. I am currently recovering from a significant event that caused my jaw to pop whenever I ate with very little provocation. It takes about a week or two to get over it. In my case, I chewed gum a couple days in a row, and I think that’s what triggered it.
  17. Gonna lay down my sword and shield Down by the riverside Down by the riverside Down by the riverside Gonna lay down my sword and shield Down by the riverside Ain't gonna study war no more.
  18. I’m worried that the US team will be denied permission to participate as a gesture of solidarity.
  19. Then came the day at the bottom of the mine When a timber cracked and men started cryin' Miners were prayin' and hearts beat fast And everybody thought that they'd breathed their last, 'cept John Through the dust and the smoke of this man-made hell Walked a giant of a man that the miners knew well Grabbed a saggin' timber, gave out with a groan And like a giant oak tree he just stood there alone, big John
  20. I have always thought that the rule is weird. If you challenge and your challenge was correct, why do you lose a challenge? I guess the idea is to limit the number of challenges so coaches have to decide if it is worth it. Otherwise they would challenge too often.
  21. In my opinion, the refs in both the “out of bounds at the three” and the “non fumble” made mistakes that were particularly egregious. The wisdom in recent years is to call a touchdown in the first case, and assume a fumble recovery in the second case. Those calls would trigger automatic reviews. That the refs made calls that prevented automatic reviews is inexcusable. I know it’s a heat of the moment situation, and hindsight is 20/20. But... Don’t get me wrong, I am glad KC won, but I feel a little dirty about it.
  22. When my toddler granddaughter was upset about something, I told my daughter that parents can only be as happy as their least happy child. She immediately replied that if she can only be as happy as her daughter, and I can only be as happy as my daughter, then... I guess I’ll have to rethink that line of reasoning.
