I thought that might get a reaction. I think priorities are 1) an all purpose back, 2) a power back, 3) a speed back. They have a very good all purpose back. I would be surprised, and a little disappointed, if the Bills took a chance on a speed back before securing a power back. Just my opinion.

Singletary is a tweener, medium size. Good at a lot of things, but not really great at any one thing. The defense can’t guess what the play will be with him, because he can do everything pretty well. A goal line, short yardage, big back would be good. They tried to use Gore in that role, but by halfway through the season it was becoming apparent that he wasn’t getting the job done. A speed back that can outrun the defense isn’t really a priority (or a reality) these days. “Getting Spiller in space” really didn’t work out that often. A guy can outrun college defenses, but not so much in the pros.

You may be right, but Darnold came back after “seeing ghosts” and did well enough to deserve another chance. If Rosen can be put in a different situation (such as a backup job somewhere else) he might do ok. If he can light it up in preseason he could get some confidence back. If, if, if...

When I was a scout in 1968 the older kids hazed (beat up) the younger kids. I have two older brothers, so I was used to getting hazed (beat up) often. I thought the scouts would be different. The grownups ignored the hazing, so I said to heck with this after about six months and one camping trip, during which the rain flooded our tent. Good times.

I think he was picked higher than he should have been because of a pick for a need (possibly a misguided need). 2010 was about the time when a running back was transitioning away from being considered as an elite part of a team. Running backs who can move the pile five yards after contact are currently in demand, and they are not first round talent. Remember when Mike Ditka traded away his entire draft for Ricky Williams in 1999. How times have changed.

On some of the smaller jets, if you recline then the bottom of the seat shifts forward so you’re losing your own leg room. I think that is a clever way to allow you to recline with minimal impact on the people behind you. I rarely recline my seat, unless it’s a long night time flight and practically everybody reclines.
