Agree and Agree. Chan's play calling has been embarrassing, frustrating and inexplicable. I doubt I will ever have faith in Chan again. I will be a little quicker to renew my faith in Fitz if he can put a few good games together, but at this point that will have to be next year. And speaking of next year... in April I will be excited all over again.

Is Chan trying to lose? Spiller has been doing pretty well. I used to feel they were over using Fred. Now I feel they are under using Spiller.

Do you think the players realize the play calling, game planning, favoritism towards certain players, and lack of innovation are setting them up for failure? Most NFL players are pretty smart guys. They know what works and what doesn't.

I agree with you 100%. What seems silly to me is the draft philosophy of "Best Player Available." Apparently somebody thought Spiller was BPA. Does that mean the Bills will draft Trent Richardson if he is BPA?

Corey McIntyre. Blocker, outlet receiver, change of pace runner. I would have him on the field for almost every offensive play.

I don't think Fitz is mailing it in either, that's just a running joke. I like Fitz, and it pains me to see him play so poorly. I think your summary is very good. Earlier in the year I thought that some pass rushers were primary concerns, and then depth at WR and O-line were secondary priorities. At this point, it seems as though all of these positions are primary concerns.

I am frustrated, annoyed and curious. They can't just keep doing the same thing and expecting things to change. What "big move" will happen? New Owner? New OC? New DC? New QB? Big splash in Free Agency? Signing or not signing FJ and SJ? Some big things MUST happen. I am curious to see what they are.

Put Smith in and run an option offense. That would be fun to watch against Denver.

You're over thinking things.

O-line was pretty good at run blocking, (so why did they stop running until it was too late?) It seemed to me that the pass protection was a problem. The blitzing was a big problem. Maybe that isn't all because of the O-line, maybe Fitz should have audibled for more protection from backs and tight ends. I thought Fitz was good at figuring that stuff out. He seems to regress more each week. What if crayonz is right? But on the other hand, if Fitz is stinking it up because he got paid, why would he subject himself to some of those hits that he took?

The fact that Thigpen would be MUCH worse than Fitz at this point is a sorry situation. Remember last year, Fitz was so beat up they decided to play Brohm for a game, and it was sooo painful to watch. Fitz is awfully beat up right now. What if they decide to let Thigpen play next week. Against Denver's defense. That makes me shudder just thinking about it.

I'm starting to think that nothing is going to change until all the old men are replaced. Miami was blitzing like crazy. Run a screen play to counter the blitz. This is not rocket science. Spiller is pretty good at screen plays. Why not burn the defense a few times so they stop blitzing? Is there some reason why that won't work in the NFL? Why not keep an extra blocker in to help with the blitz? When a big D-end or OLB comes in unblocked, there is a serious problem. It's one thing when a corner or safety blitz catches the offense by surprise, but a D-end? C'mon man. There were many other observations I'm sure, but those just stuck out to me as very obvious.

People thought Chan was a genius at the beginning of the season. Now he is just a tired, confused, old man. Stuck in the past and not willing to change. The Bills are run by tired, confused, old men, and Edwards. Not going to get better soon unless some newer, younger blood is brought in, and that could be a long wait.

Spiller was a bright spot today. Play calling was terrible. Fitz was terrible. O-line was terrible. Defense was slightly less terrible than usual.

Syracuse is 150 miles from Buffalo and they get blacked out. Oh boy, the Bengals game! If that management understudy guy wants to increase the marketing power of the Bills, he should find out what it takes to determine the coverage of TV stations in neighboring markets and see if the blackout zones can be redefined.
