  1. Key Players: FS Jairus Byrd G Andy Levitre WR David Nelson Would like for Special Teams and Depth: FB Corey MacIntyre CB Leodis McKelvin DE Shawne Merriman DE Kyle Moore G Chad Rinehart C/G Colin Brown WR Donald Jones DL Spencer Johnson TE Mike Caussin This may be too many keepers, but keeping marginal talent is the hallmark of the Buffalo Bills. Actually, I would rather keep guys who are known to be decent role players than go out and try to get new ones. That kind of revolving door doesn't really help that much, but it does create interest and start debates on message boards.
  2. Patriots have a guy like that. His name is Welker. Perhaps you've heard of him.
  3. For basketball they put up a big curtain and close off one of the end zones. Tailgating in Syracuse would be a problem. Parking near the Carrier Dome is not so great.
  4. I actually agree with this rant. Remember when Carl Mauck used to get mad? And Bobby April? Nobody on the Bills sideline gets worked up these days. Wannstedt hides in the booth and Gailey looks like a doddering old fool. Do the players ever get mad or show any excitement? Guys like Brady and Manning talk to their linemen and receivers and show some fire. Even Wilfork gets mad at the other guys when they mess up. The Bills need a leader with fire in his belly and the ability to back it up with performance and command respect from his teammates.
  5. There was a graphic on ESPN today: What QBs lead the league in interceptions? Here is the order: 1) Mark Sanchez 2) Philip Rivers 3) Ryan Fitzpatrick
  6. I want to go on record as NOT in favor of continuity. I'm a pretty calm and conservative person, but in this case I can't see that there is any choice. I feel that Gailey has lost the confidence of the team. He has to go. Period. The End.
  7. Jerry Sullivan! He seems to always know what's wrong with the team!
  8. I think you said it would happen before 2 o'clock. At 2 o'clock I checked on TBD and found a reference to Nix saying that nobody would be fired before the end of the season. I thought that was pretty good. You had the time of the announcement correct, but the details of the announcement were just a little off. I think you deserve some credit for that. .
  9. In My Humble Opinion: Of your three choices, the first two could turn out ok, and the third one would be the least likely to benefit the team in the short term or the long term. Especially Vick. People are saying now that paying Fred Jackson was dumb because he is getting old and injury prone. What does that make Vick?
  10. I agree. I haven't liked Chan as a play caller since halfway through last season, and I would like to see him fired or demoted, but I would be disappointed if it happens before the end of this season. They have to find a new coach, and they have to show a little class. Promoting Wanny to take over as head coach would probably not be an upgrade. This season is essentially over, so there is no point in doing anything immediately.
  11. Titans loss was the beginning of the end. Poor play calling, not inspiring. Add to that a string of close losses. Add to that not using CJ Spiller effectively. Add to that too much emphasis on Fitz as a Brady-esque pocket passer. The players aren't stupid. They know when bad play calling is hurting the team. The Titans game was like deja vu from last season. Poor game management, losing winnable games.
  12. from their outstanding twleve days of Christmas! I tried to find a link to youtube but I couldn't find a good quality one. Edit: This one isn't too bad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32CwrOZVobo
  13. Hee Haw: Gloom Despair Agony On Me (ooaah) Deep Dark Depression Excessive Misery (ooaah) If It Weren't For Bad Luck I'd Have No Luck At All (ooaah) Gloom Despair And Agony On Me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TDqvD34hEA
  14. The Who: "Won't Get Fooled Again" Not only is it appropriate based on the hype that happens before each season, but the last line is "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss" which has been true for the past several coaching staffs and mediocre QBs that the Bills have had in recent memory.
  15. It was featured today on Hot Clicks on the Sports Illustrated Web Site. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/extramustard/hotclicks/12/10/jason-avant-catch-of-the-year-jade-bryce/index.html?eref=sihp&sct=hp_bf1_a4 http://cosbysweaters.com/2012/12/09/bills-fans-forget-to-catch-lee-smith-gif/
  16. As dismal as this sounds, I think it seems like the most realistic and optimistic view of future that I have read on this forum.
  17. I feel like I should go out and buy all the Buffalo Bills souvenirs that I can. I can show them to my grandchildren someday and tell them about a game that used to popular in the United States before it got outlawed for being too dangerous. If that isn't interesting enough, there used to be a team that played in Buffalo of all places!
  18. I think the Ralph Wilson limbo situation is reaching a dramatic crescendo. His age and health are far more of a concern now than ever before. Has he made it to a game this year? The whole stadium lease, upgrade, and public money situation is in a logjam. Any new coach or GM has to realize that the continuity of the situation is a big issue going forward. Every season there is speculation regarding Ralph's health, but it seems like this year it has much more of an imminent feel to it.
  19. I'm confused. If you stay on hold then they think that you would be boring or stupid. How do they decide who's call to pick up? Do they know what you are going to say before you say it? How do they know that they are better off leaving you on hold and instead letting somebody else talk? Are they psychic? Is there some part of this process that I don't understand? Sounds like doubletalk and BS to me.
  20. Didn't they pretty much do the same thing to the Bills?
  21. "43's the Mike, 43's the Mike." In other words, the smaller LB (Scott) is in the middle, so let's run it straight ahead.
  22. You clearly have too much time on your hands, but this is an awesome post!
  23. One good thing about NFC teams visiting Buffalo: those games are on Fox. There is a Fox station near Utica (channel 33 in Rome) so blacked out NFC games are available in the Utica area.
