  1. There was an article on syracuse.com about this (by the way, syracuse.com has some pretty good Bills coverage). The article pretty much restates many of the comments made in this forum. http://www.syracuse.com/axeman/index.ssf/2014/09/why_was_the_buffalo_bills_game_not_in_hd_this_weekend.html#incart_river_sports
  2. Not very good quality and not from the angle they showed on tv... http://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2014/09/robert_woods_big_hit_part_of_b.html#incart_river_sports
  3. The Woods hit on Video...http://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2014/09/robert_woods_big_hit_part_of_b.html#incart_river_sports
  4. Did Woods make a special teams tackle? Your #1 or #2 receiver on special teams? That surprised me.
  5. CJ mad a believer out of me today. He has learned to run between the tackles and turn small holes into big gains. Also, he looks like he has put on some muscle. His arms are huge.
  6. I will be traveling today and won't see the game. I am in the worst mood I have been in for a long time. Therefore I will predict a trap game. Miami wins 24 - 14. EJ gets banged up, Orton plays the second half.
  7. My dad got a k-car, and it was his last Chrysler product. He got Hondas after that.
  8. My dad was a Mopar man. We had a series of Chryslers, Dodges and Plymouths in the '50s and '60s. It wasn't until about 1970 when I realized that push button automatics weren't typical.
  9. I'm suffering here. Shortness of breath. The world has ended as I know it.
  10. Collins stayed in the Apollo capsule while Aldrin and Armstrong went down to the moon. He had a much safer job, if "safe" can be used to describe circling the moon in a space capsule.I am always nervous about the BIlls, and I always will be. Nobody knows anything about any other team at this point. It takes a few weeks for each team's place in the pecking order to be established. This game seems winnable, but tell that to everyone last week who thought that Chicago winning against the Bills was a sure thing.
  11. I believe that Goodell in his heart believes he is doing the "right thing." But... Could it be that Goodell is afraid of losing advertising dollars if he appears soft on DV?
  12. Didn't Pagula keep many of the Sabres staff around for a while before making significant changes? I imaging with Brandon, Whaley and Marrone he will do the same. Littman and Overdorf on the other hand...
  13. I generally read a page or two and then I go to the last page to see how it ends. Kind of like the way my wife reads a book. Usually the topic changes a few pages in so you have to figure out where and how that happened. Sometimes two or three people are on a roll, and new inputs from somebody else will be ignored.
  14. if you go to ESPN Sportsnation you can vote for Fred's stiff arm as the best highlight of the week. The Brown's punter getting kicked in the face will probably win, but at least Fred is one of the choices.
  15. Check the AFCE standings. 1: Dolphins 2: Jets 3: Bills 4: Pats I like seeing the Pats as the only team with a loss.
  16. Empty Backfield 27 Yard pass to Goodwin along the left sideline Incomplete
  17. Please keep the post-game posts coming. Sometimes people give you such a hard time I worry that you will decide to stop. That would be bad. Very bad.
  18. Maybe obi Wan Kenobi can tell the other teams' DBs, "These are not the receivers you are looking for." Actually as a Bills fan, I think of Princess Leia telling Han Solo "I love you," and his response is "I know." No return of emotion, just acknowledging the fact. Kind of like the Bills management.
  19. Windy City game The Bills have never won there That changes this week
  20. If they are Beard long ribs then they could be beef ribs, Texas style. And Fitz is in Houston... coincidence?
  21. I don't think you are over competitive, rather I think I have fallen into the trap of "8-8 would be considered a good season." My expectations this year are pretty low, thus the emphasis on "winnable games."
  22. The Bears are not as scary as other teams on the schedule, so it is important to win the games in which you feel like you have a pretty good chance. The mental/morale importance of this game is pretty important as well. EJ and the entire coaching staff are under a microscope, which just adds to the criticality of this game. They are all auditioning for their own jobs and everybody knows it.
  23. If it's in the paper with Wawrow as the by-line, then I read it because I know it will be well written, even though it rarely includes information that I didn't already learn at TBD. I also go to syracuse.com a few times a day, and Matthew Fairburn sometimes has some good stuff and is pretty entertaining to read as well.
  24. I voted for the whole season, but I think Manuel getting injured is the issue. The definition of "injured" may change depending on how he plays. I doubt they will pull him early in the season just for bad play, but they may decide he is "injured" and use that as an opportunity to pull him if he is not showing some sort of improvement during the first half of the season. Many QBs get banged up, so the opportunity to declare that he is "injured" could be the approach that the Dougs take to make the switch without obviously pulling him for obvious bad play.
