This thread title seems to imply some inside knowledge, but it is really all speculation.

The title made me thing of Ryan Fitzpatrick and his broken leg. Rex was dealt a bad hand. I'm not sure he is such a bad coach. I think he is the victim of a HORRIBLE GM. And his QB situation makes ours seem pretty good in comparison. However, if I was in charge of the Jets, it would be time for a clean sweep. I kind of hope Rex lands on his feet as a DC somewhere. I just hope the Bills aren't in the market for one. But... he might like the idea of sticking it to the Jets twice a year. OTOH, he might be sick and tired of having the Hoodie eat his lunch.

The drunken fans says, "EJ, it's nice of you to buy these guys a drink as they head down to Cortland to try out for the Jets."

Seems like they release all of my favorite players. Who's next, Garrison Sanborn?

Thad played hard last year and wasn't terrible. He had a shot at being the QB who would go in if EJ was injured or played poorly. For some reason he stunk it up in TC and pre-season and played himself out of a job. I never figured out what happened.

Will always be a Fitz fan, but it was time to move on. Nobody throws a last minute heart breaking pass like Fitz. I wonder if he will be back next year? I would think his years of gutsy, smart but mediocre play has finally caught up to him.

Last week Peyton basically just handed the ball off. I don't think they are relying on his arm. Maybe his on-field leadership and play calling is important, but not necessarily his physical abilities.

Did the Bills defense knock anybody out of this game and possibly next game? That is a string that the Bills have going this year. Not sure if that is something to brag about.

I believe that this is why the window of opportunity for a championship team is pretty short. With a few very good rookies and a few reasonably priced vets, it can be done. Once you win, the prices go up and you can't re-sign all of your own players anymore. The Patriots are pretty good at jettisoning high priced players just after their careers peak and replacing them with lower cost substitutes. Of course, step one is to collect championship talent, and step two is having a coaching staff that knows how to use them. But I digress.

I read somewhere that the stripes didn't match because that combination wasn't in the original design. The original intent was white/blue or blue/white. The players decided to go with white/white and blue/blue on occasion, and the stripes on the uniforms didn't look right because they weren't designed for those combinations.

I wonder if he can clomp around in the lead shoes from "men of honor" then he could do the Drew Bledsoe/Kyle Orton story

I agree with this thinking. Refs are intimidated or something when it comes to some teams, but not others. The Bills are somewhat undisciplined, which makes things worse.

Our Utica area Time Warner Cable listing shows the Giants on Fox on Sunday. On our cable, Fox is out of Rome, whereas CBS is out of Syracuse. Therefore, Utica and Syracuse will have the same game if it is on CBS, but they are sometimes different if it is on Fox.The fanbase around here is split pretty evenly between Bills and Giants, so it is a no-win situation for the TV station. The fact that the Giants-Redskins game is likely to be a stinker, and the Bills-Packers game could be very good doesn't seem to enter into the equation.

Unless Orton gets hurt, training camp and pre-season next year are the opportunities to let EJ get back on the horse. I also think it would be demoralizing for the rest of the team to know that they are only playing as part of an experiment.

Why do they sign punt catchers and wide receivers? Aren't there any guards that they can take a flyer on?

Link or pic, or it didn't happen On to your question.. The announcers liked to say that players respected Fitz because he would take the hit, throw the block, etc. Perhaps after seeing that kitty slide, symptoms such as alligator arms, and dance rather than hit the hole will become more obvious.

I would like to know what he did to win this award. A few games ago, he caught a pass and made a first down. The ref looked toward him for the ball so he could mark the spot. Instead of handing the ref the ball, Hogan did some sort of strutting show-off move and flipped the ball in a random direction. The expression on the ref's face was total disgust. I remember thinking that it is no wonder that the refs don't seem to like the Bills.
