  1. And you can tell everybody this is your song It may be quite simple but now that it's done I hope you don't mind I hope you don't mind That I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world
  2. I feel the earth move under my feet I feel the sky tumbling down I feel my heart start to trembling Whenever you're around Ooh, baby, when I see your face Mellow as the month of May Oh, darling, I can't stand it When you look at me that way

Now I've been happy lately Thinking about the good things to come And I believe it could be Something good has begun Oh, I've been smiling lately Dreaming about the world as one And I believe it could be Someday it's going to come 'Cause I'm on the edge of darkness There ride the Peace Train Oh, Peace Train take this country Come take me home again

Ball Of Confusion that's what the world is today The sale of pills is at an all time high young folks walkin' 'round with their heads in the sky Cities aflame in the summer time, and oh the beat goes on Eve of destruction, tax deduction, City inspectors, bill collectors, Evolution, revolution, gun control, the sound of soul, Shootin' rockets to the moon, kids growin' up too soon Politicians say more taxes will solve ev'rything, and the band played on.
  6. You are the sunshine of my life That's why I'll always be around You are the apple of my eye Forever you'll stay in my heart I feel like this is the beginning Though I've loved you for a million years And if I thought our love was ending I'd find myself drowning in my own tears
  7. Today, while the blossoms still cling to the vine I'll taste your strawberries, I'll drink your sweet wine A million tomorrows shall all pass away 'Ere I forget all the joy that is mine, today I'll be a dandy, and I'll be a rover You'll know who I am by the songs that I sing I'll feast at your table, I'll sleep in your clover Who cares what the morrow shall bring
  8. Any COBOL programmers out there? https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/08/business/coronavirus-cobol-programmers-new-jersey-trnd/index.html
  9. I’ve seen news articles that say deaths from drug overdoses, and from heart attacks have increased. Psychological stress? A side effect of clogged lungs and unrelenting coughs? Something else? Those deaths won’t get classified as covid19 deaths, but in an indirect way maybe they are.
  10. I feel that these statistics are very misleading. New York has tested a much higher number of people. The official case numbers and death numbers are based on people who were tested. More people need to be tested, and maybe there should be a category of “probable” cases or deaths, based on symptoms rather than test results. The overall death statistics for this year compared to previous years paint a much more grim picture, in Europe as well as in the US. It’s also hard to know how many cases there really are since so many of the people who get it never even tell a doctor, let alone get tested. I know we sound like a broken record, but until the antibody tests are universally available, the true nature of the beast will not be accurately understood.
  11. No, you can't always get what you want You can't always get what you want You can't always get what you want But if you try sometime you find You get what you need I saw her today at the reception A glass of wine in her hand I knew she was gonna meet her connection At her feet was her footloose man
  12. Forever and ever You'll stay in my heart and I'll love you Forever and ever We never will part how I'll love you Together together That's how it should be Without you would only be heartbreak for me
  13. The song is over It's all behind me I should have known it She tried to find me Our love is over They're all ahead now I've got to learn it I'm gonna to sing out I'll sing my song to the wide open spaces I'll sing my heart out to the infinite sea I'll sing my visions to the sky high mountains I'll sing my song to the free, to the free (This one was too easy)
  14. hydroxychloroquine is used to prevent malaria, and has “quine” in it. So does quinine water. Quinine water was first used by the British as a way to prevent malaria. Quinine water is also known as tonic water. It’s bitter and unpleasant to drink. Gin and tonic was invented as a way to make quinine easier to take. Therefore, my wife and I are planning on making gin and tonic part of our daily routine.
  15. Sometimes you picture me I'm walking too far ahead You're calling to me, I can't hear What you've said Then you say, "go slow" And I fall behind The second hand unwinds If you're lost you can look and you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you, I'll be waiting Time after time
  16. In the corner of the bar there stands a jukebox With the best of country music, old and new You can hear your five selections for a quarter And somebody else's songs when yours are through I got good Kentucky whiskey on the counter And my friends around to help me ease the pain 'Til some button-pushing cowboy plays that love song And here I am just missing you again Please, Mr., please, don't play B-17 It was our song, it was his song, but it's over Please, Mr., please, if you know what I mean I don't ever wanna hear that song again
  17. There are a few versions of Jessica out there. Here is one...
  18. What I don’t understand is the weird and often fruity things that people call martinis. I think it started with the apple-tini and went downhill from there.
  19. You are the dancing queen Young and sweet Only seventeen Dancing queen Feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah You can dance You can jive Having the time of your life Ooh, see that girl Watch that scene Digging the dancing queen
  20. Yup. I think the blood test for antibodies is key. That lets you know if you’ve had it already. The test exists and is just starting to be used. My son is a nurse in a smallish Upstate NY hospital. He’s pretty mad that they don’t have the antibody test available so that people who’ve already had it can work the covid floor, and people who haven’t had it can work the regular floor.
  21. Agree. They should open things up in stages. Schools, but not restaurants, or vice versa. Parks and beaches, but not stadiums. Stores, but not movies. Offices can be opened with guidelines to avoid crowded meetings. Forehead thermometers can be used where possible to monitor for fevers. The wearing of masks should be encouraged. Etc. Then the nature of the rebound spike can be assessed before more things are open.
  22. She's gone, she's gone I better learn how to face it She's gone, she's gone I'd pay the devil to replace her She's gone, and she's gone Oh why, what went wrong?
  23. Did the adults find it entertaining at all? I enjoyed it when my kids were young. ”compliance”
  24. I notice many of the posts are first hand accounts of people who probably had it, but it was never diagnosed. In my case, the son of a friend had a fever, lost his sense of taste and smell, was exhausted, and coughed for a few days. He got over it without medical intervention, and never took a test. I feel as though the number of people with similar stories is quite large, and the official statistics will never reflect reality. Perhaps antibody tests after the fact will help, but the people who died will never be accurately counted.
