Running back depth. If Shady goes down, uh oh.

I know a guy who has him on his fantasy team. I thought he was nuts, but I guess he knew what he was doing. More fantasy points than a lot of the "Big Name" tight ends. PS I am not a fan of fantasy football. I would rather root for a team.

Zay Jones had a TD pass bounce off his hands. It was caught by Andre Holmes. I'm starting to worry about Jones. I hope he comes up big very soon.

Crow on a Stick for me with Ranch dressing I was glad to see that the offense wasn't just shady. More players got involved. There was more movement for TT and some play action as well. D-line did just fine without MD. That was a pleasant surprise. O-line could have used CG, that's for sure.

Yet another Tyrod thread, but it feels like the first time. Tyrod is who he is. The o-line is what it is. Shady is who he is. The OC doesn't seem to realize what he's got or how to use it. Sad.

Thanks for the posting Bocephuz. I look forward to these. What these postings reinforce for me... I don't think TT is the long term answer. Stands in the pocket too long, tucks and runs when there are open receivers, doesn't let his receivers make plays. I am not impressed by the receiving corps, but it's early in the season and most of them are new to the team. I am not impressed by the play calling. Not enough options, roll-outs, play action, etc. I am worried about the offensive line (obviously). Shady is great but he can't carry the team.

This is why I am in the camp of "Sammy wouldn't make a difference." If the QB won't throw to somebody who isn't open by a mile, then having Sammy won't help.

They ran Shady too often. It wasn't working. Roll outs, quick passes (like Brady to Edelman), play action. Nope, run Shady.

This. I think Shady is great, but he can't carry the team every week. The Panthers had his number. Change things. Don't keep doing the same thing and hope for a different outcome.

I didn't watch the game, but every forum that I have visited today said Beth's voice was quiet and irritating. Too bad, I think she does ok with college hoops.

The highlight of the game for me was DiMarco catching a pass in the flats. Visions of Sam Gash ran through my head. Please, please, please do that occasionally throughout the season.

i'm not sure if Syracuse will regain their glory in basketball either. sad. I am skeptical of their ability to ever compete in football in the ACC. I think they should have gone to the AAC like UConn. It would have been a better fit.

Ryan Fitzpatrick Doug Flutie Trent Edwards Kyle Orton Tyrod Taylor Fitz and Trent each had big hits and they weren't the same after. Can I qualify my order by saying I am ranking them before the big hits? Trent probably would have sat out quite a few games with the current concussion rules. I notice that many people have picked Flutie but nobody has picked Johnson. I never understood the hype for Bledsoe. He used to clomp around in the backfield as if he was wearing deep sea diving weighted shoes. Like Cuba Gooding, Jr. in Men of Honor.

Too early to be pissed off. Will the play calling improve? Will there be fewer stupid penalties? Will coaches adapt from game to game? Will plays be adapted to the personnel? Will coaches not be statues and not be buffoons on the sidelines? Will players be called out if they screw up, either by coaches or other players? These are the things I will be looking for. If these things are showing improvement as the year goes on, then I will be optimistic about next year. I'm not expecting playoffs this year, but time will tell.

I'm hoping that Wenning was cut with the idea that if he doesn't get picked up by somebody else then he can be put on the PS. Then they can cut Yates.
