  1. I just listened to it on Youtube. Musically, I agree that it's a good song. But I think lyrically it's not really a Christmas song. It's more about losing love and then finding love.
  2. JJ! (imagine if JJ Watt visited your tailgate)
  3. I understand that breastfeeding is normal and natural, and I understand that breasts are overly sexualized in American society. However, I just don't think that should be done out in public in America and in a place that would be filled with adolescents, especially boys.
  4. Marrone has been good or very good in Syracuse, Buffalo, and Jacksonville. As much as people may think he's a jerk, his resume says he deserves some respect.
  5. Last Christmas, and Santa Baby are the worst. If you really want to make your ears bleed, listen to Taylor Swift's version of these songs, especially Last Christmas. Her vocal range is pretty weak to begin with, and in this song she is particularly bad.
  6. "Process" has been a popular cliche in business for more than a decade. I have always felt that in a large corporation people can hide behind the process to spread blame and avoid personal responsibility. I'm not sure how process works in a relatively small organization like an NFL team. I assume the process refers to a set of goals for the coaching and management staff, and the players are moved around like puzzle pieces to align to some sort of predetermined vision. Either they go along with the process, or they get traded. I wonder what the process is. Is it a three year plan to get the guys who can play in the defensive scheme, block on the O-line the way they are supposed to, and somehow find the QB who can make things work? That sounds like a pretty typical laundry list for an NFL coach, but it's better than that, it's a Process!
  7. I have no reason to doubt an esteemed and honorable poster such as Doc. I would really love for the kid to have a good game. At this point that's about as high as I dare to set the bar.
  8. My mom went to kindergarten only speaking Italian. She had no accent when she grew up. I read somewhere that it's pretty common for a pre-teen to switch languages without keeping the accent. By the time you are a teenager you have to work much harder to lose the accent.
  9. I think in all practical, logical terms they were eliminated from the playoffs after the Jets game. I think they should start auditioning players for next year (such as Peterman). However, what kind of message does it send to the owners, fans, and players if McBeane acknowledges that reality? Aren't they supposed to put up a facade that the playoffs are still a possibility? I really don't know how this is supposed to go since three of the last four games are Conference games.
  10. Since they aren't mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, they have to start whoever gives them the best chance to win. That is probably Taylor if his knee is healthy. One more loss and Peterman starts for the rest of the season. They have to find out of Peterman is a reasonable backup, or if they should cut him and get somebody new for next year. If they draft a QB with the idea that he will be the guy for the future, I wonder if they will keep Taylor so that the new guy doesn't absolutely have to start for the first few games.
  11. It seems like he fields the kickoff on the one or two yard line a lot. Are other teams purposely kicking short to force a catch and run? Should he let it go and hope it bounces into the end zone?
  12. So if somebody purposely dives at Brady's knees, does it make it all better if McDermitt apologizes? Not condoning or suggesting the behavior, just pointing out how meaningless it is that Belichick apologized.
  13. The Billsy outcome... He will appeal this and the suspension will be postponed for a few weeks. He'll end up sitting out the Bills game. He avoids any possibility of retribution and they probably won't need him anyway. They might not even care about the game at that point in the season.
  14. Football before free agency was different. Players stayed with teams. Teams were built piece by piece. They didn't have a salary cap. The idea of a dynasty was different. The Dolphins were portrayed as likeable guys. Who knows if they really were. I think the drinking and partying was bigger back then. Then came the Steel Curtain, and they dominated for a few years in the early 70s. I remember that era pretty clearly.
  15. I just saw a blurb that mcdermitt called out belichick about it after the game. belichick admitted it was a bs move by gronk. http://www.12up.com/posts/5867436-video-bill-belichick-goes-nsfw-during-apology-to-bills-coach-over-gronk-cheap-shot?a_aid=40734
  16. It goes both ways though. A QB should be able to throw a receiver open. Back shoulder type of stuff.
  17. LIke when one of Peterman's first throws today hit his receiver in the belly and it was incomplete? That kind of negative impact?
  18. I don't think many (any?) teams are as good as they used to be. The huge salaries for certain players along with the salary cap make it impossible to have top notch talent in all phases of the game. The Bills with upgrades at QB and one or two on the OL could compete with just about anybody and could get into the playoffs. If you could also upgrade WR and LB then the Bills would be able to win a playoff game or two.
  19. why do they give up the ground game? they could get 5+ yards each time.
  20. Lawson looked like super mario. getting pushed behind the qb into harmless territory. but he flails and spins and looks like he is doing something.
