  1. I’ve never been to Mexico, any Caribbean islands, or on a cruise. Never posted on social media (I don’t count TBD as social). no tattoos. never sat on my balls. never gotten naked with more than one woman at a time. Never done crazy Buffalo Mafia stuff at games. Never seen Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, and probably several other shows. I’m sure there’s more I haven’t done. I’m pretty boring.
  2. I would guess a member of the production unit holding a large microphone. Zoom in on the picture, and you will see that she is a female member of the opposite sex.
  3. This album came out when I was in junior high, and I thought the picture on the cover was hysterical. Great music, too.
  4. Outstanding covers? Iconic albums maybe. I’m not sure why the covers are outstanding. Covers of outstanding albums, or outstanding album covers? Ain’t the English language wonderful?
  5. Cristy Lee a car babe, seen often on the Velocity channel, etc. I’ll buy what she’s selling
  6. I have a friend who was laid off shortly after returning to work after a heart bypass operation. He was told that he didn’t meet the goals that he and his manager established at the beginning of the year. The deal is that you sign that you won’t make a fuss, and you get six month’s pay as severance. He talked to a lawyer, and the lawyer said a large corporation can wear you down and make you just keep paying lawyer fees, so you should just sign the form and take the severance pay.
  7. I wouldn’t join any club that would have me as a member.
  8. Nina had a movie role. She played a hooker for a pimp named Ramrod who drove a Ford Bronco. Vice Squad imdb Truly bad. Now Martha on the other hand... my brother had the hots for her in a big way. I always thought she was too skinny. But, yes. Definitely. Yes.
  9. You read about people losing their temper and then something tragic happens. It always scares me that somebody I care about could do that and ruin a couple people’s lives. Perhaps I could be the one to do it. Not good.
  10. I should probably put this in the Mexican dish thread...
  11. I haven’t watched late night tv in a long time. After reading this thread, I’m glad that is the case.
  12. When I was in high school I started listening to an oldies station. To this day I enjoy hearing songs like Pretty Little Angel Eyes or Blue Moon if I get the chance. I don’t remember much from my sophomore, junior and senior years in college because I spent a lot of time being in a haze. That was a phase. I occasionally get into a fitness phase that lasts a few years, but it doesn’t last so then I go from waning to waxing gibbous, which is what I am now. Maybe in another year or so I’ll get ambitious and start getting into a waning mode again. I went camping, hiking and canoeing for several years. Having kids made that harder. I used to go downhill skiing several times each winter, but my knees started to hurt so I stopped. Now I’m starting to enter into my old man phase: woodworking, gardening, cooking, long walks.
  13. It was a hover board. There were several news stories about the hazards of battery fires with them a couple years ago.
  14. I’ve done Utica to Sanford, FL. We had a small sleeper compartment and a meal plan, so it wasn’t quite like you describe. Fun, but harder to sleep than I thought. The train doesn’t really go in a constant rhythm and it’s pretty loud. I hope you report back because I’m truly curious about how it goes.
  15. I remember Romper Room. It came on after Captain Kangaroo. I also remember Freddie Freihofer. “Who wants to squiggle?” When the cookies would come down the chute, “Oatmeal cookies! The big ones!” My older brothers and sister used to talk about staying up to see High Flight. I remember only seeing it once. I also remember seeing The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. The first time, when it was live. After that they were mostly taped.
  16. That’s what I remember about John Glenn’s rocket launch.
  17. Early 1960s Captain Kangaroo I remember that one. It was probably a repeat when I saw it. I was only 4 in 1961.
  18. Good snow tires make a big difference, but lake effect snow can go on for several days at a time, and the fifty mile commute in the snow and dark just wears me out. You’re probably one of those people that pass me and make me wonder how you can do it as if there was nothing wrong. I once had my blood pressure taken shortly after arriving at work on one of those tough days. It was 20 points higher than normal. I’m sure that I’m more nervous than I should be, but at this point I doubt that I will ever stop being nervous about it.
  19. My parents retired to Florida. They said that the most uncomfortable hot weather that they had to endure was when they visited relatives up north in the summer. Houses up north weren’t all air conditioned, so summer nights could be too hot to sleep.
  20. My problem with upstate NY is commuting in the winter. My job and my wife’s job are 50 miles apart. She has a very short commute. The long commute in the winter is causing me to retire a year or two sooner than I would otherwise. I think once I retire my negative outlook on winter will be tempered significantly.
  21. What scares me as a driver is that sometimes it doesn’t register in my brain that I am looking at a motorcycle, bicycle, jogger, pedestrian. When I am at a stop sign, especially in a rural area, I look both ways, etc. but I think my brain is trained to look for larger things that are wider. I’m sure people will say I must be a bad, inattentive driver, but I think a lot of people fall into this category. If you only encounter motorcycles a few times per year, your subconscious tendencies are not trained to see them. I think it’s a “creature of habit” kind of thing.
  22. Ranch or Blue Cheese? What is your daily driver vehicle? Ever smash through a plastic table? If so, were you on fire and/or covered in condiments?
  23. You and your hubby are a couple of sexagenarians. (Look it up if you don’t already know) I’m also a sexagenarian, but my wife isn’t.
