Well that’s the problem a lot of the time. Unless ownership is completely on board, by the time they’re using that 2nd first rounder from Houston, they could be getting fired. Then you have a new GM, who has a different coach, different system, and needs different players, so you end up doing the same thing all over again.

Thursday Night Football Tampa at Car, NFL Network
Dkollidas replied to RaoulDuke79's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ve always thought they should have two Monday games. One based on east coast time with 7:00 start, one on west coast with 9:30-10:00 start. Basically what they did for opening week. -
Tee Higgins future bills receiver

Henry Ruggs III Levishka Shenault Ceedee Lamb Jalen Reagor in addition to Higgins. I’d probably be happy with any of them. -
Astro's 2020 Mock Draft-September Edition
Dkollidas replied to OldTimeAFLGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can’t argue with any of these receivers as an additional option in the 1st. I think well we’ll be picking right around 20, maybe 22-24 if we’re lucky, as the OP stated. Personally i see Jeudy & Shenault definitely gone by #20. Probably another guy will be as well. i asked Joe Marino on his pod which guy he felt was the best fit for Allen and our offense, and he thought Henry Ruggs III would be the top option (I asked him to exclude Jeudy bc I didn’t think we’d pick that high. He figured that having Brown & Ruggs on the outside would really be able to stretch out defenses. Im not sure. I’ll trust the scouting staff. I like the picks they’ve made so far one Beane’s two drafts here. -
I’d like to see them try it with Gore/Singeltary in the backfield together. Or even a TE as an H-back type of player. Would be a little more dangerous than putting DiMarco out there, Although he did have a couple decent catches. I really believe they’ll be much lore like a New England where they have similar routes/plays they run, but change up the personnel and formations they run those plays out of every week based on their opponent.

I like the locked on bills podcast the best. I do listen to Capaccio on WGR as well. He’s about the only guy left on that station I really like. Ive listened to the Buffalo rumblings stuff a couple times and am just starting to really get into it.

Issues with WGR/Radio.com app?

You can go to the web site wgr550.com and find the newer segments there. At least I found Monday’s stuff there. -
Patriots trade Demaryius Thomas to Jets
Dkollidas replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jets are gonna be a tire fire. When we weren’t kicking ourselves with all those turnovers, our offense actually moved the ball well. Our defense stomped them. Clear path to 2nd in the division. Seems like AFC South will be a dog fight, probably two 8-8 teams, a 6-10 7-9 team at the bottom. So basically we’re battling the Chargers and whoever out of the AFC North gets 2nd place for two wild card spots. -
Thought Shack looked good again

I wonder if he has a solid season (say 6-8 sacks as a rotational guy) what he’ll cost to re-sign. -
Schein: Nine most alluring developments of Week 1
Dkollidas replied to ProcessYaDigg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean they weren’t expecting to be any good. And then getting beat up like that by Dallas didn’t help. I hope we’ll win comfortably, and I would think playing same stadium two weeks in a row is actually better than two different stadium. They’ll be familiar with the surroundings and being close to home makes the travel negligible. -
Schein: Nine most alluring developments of Week 1

Yea... I’m not looking ahead of this week with the Giants. And I don’t think our team is either. Week by week, game by game. -
[Name Only Title] Melvin Gordon

If they go after someone I’d rather get an AJ Green when he comes back. Zay is not the answer opposite Brown. -
Would you change team name if you had the power?

“Buffalo Bada$$es” and our logo could be a tailgater leaping into a flaming folding table. -
Who do you like? Who don’t you like? Looks to be a loaded class and could see us drafting Allen’s WR#1 next year. I dont think well be bad enough enough to get Jeudy, but who else does everyone like, particularly to fit into our offensive system?
-
I think it’s because, generally speaking, people see three things... 1) Darnold is ahead, if only slightly, in his development, than Allen. 2) they see Anderson, Enunwa, Crowder, Bell, Montgomery, and Herndon (when he comes back) as better weapons than Brown, Beasley, Jones, Singeltary, Gore, and Knox/Sweeney/Kroft 3) Bell is still viewed as an elite, game-breaking type of player. The Bills are viewed as not having that type of player. -For the most part I agree with those views. But I do believe we have three things to our advantage 1) Allen’s potential is higher in my estimation than Darnolds, so if they both pan out I believe Allen May end up being the better QB. 2) we invested more properly into our offensive line, giving our young QB a better chance at standing upright for longer. 3) I believe our coaching is better than theirs. The Bills staff is all on the same page. The Jets coaching is a big “?” To me. Gase worked well with Peyton Manning, but that’s like saying how helpful Doug Flutie was to Tom Brady when he was with New England. Other than that he underachieved with an overpaid Miami roster. I also have a lot of faith in Daboll. Somewhere last year I read a stat (this is vague mind you bc I have no source) that the Bills ran the most different formations throughout the season of any team in the league. That tells me he’s not afraid to experiment, which I’m happy to see. Creativity is key in today’s NFL and we finally have an offensive coordinator who believes that and believes in a pass first offense.

OAK planning to suspend AB (edit: apologized, playing)
Dkollidas replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really hope the Raiders cut him and find a way to recoup some of that bonus. I just honestly don’t think he wants to play any more. -
I think Singeltary will surprise people. I just have a feeling he’ll become a very good, if not elite, player within a year or two. He just has that “it” about him when he plays. Not the strongest or fastest, but he gets yards and makes plays. His vision is elite and in a game of inches he’ll be able to use that vision to take good angles and be a mental step ahead of the play. Again, just a layman’s take on it

When will the Bills announce their Captains?
Dkollidas replied to CEN-CAL17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would expect Allen Felicano OR Morse Edmunds Alexander Hauschka DiMarco or is it only 4? If so, I could see... Allen Edmunds Alexander + one of Hauschka/DiMarco -
I think they like Feliciano’s nastiness up front. He seems to be a different kind of guy in terms of the mentality. Also, the Jets look strong on their interior defensive line, but not so much on the edge. I wonder if they’re limiting Ford’s exposure to elite players (Quinnen and Leonard Williams) by putting him on the edge and allowing Veterans in Feliciano/Morse to get the first stab at that assignment.

The Bills need to keep Duke Williams
Dkollidas replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Andre Roberts is out (I think I heard on WGR that he had an issue?), then I could see Williams coming in this week and playing. Just a thought. But he’s behind Brown, Beasley, Zay & Foster right now. And that doesn’t even include McKenzie. -
I’ll admit I’m nervous about this one for a few reasons... 1) Divisional Road game to open the season 2) I think Darnold is going to be very good. 3) Bell but also their other weapons. Enunwa, Anderson, and Crowder is a good trio of receivers. 4A) Our offensive line having enough chemistry and providing Allen with time to throw. 4B) Gregg Williams’ Defensive system putting pressure on Allen. Reasons for Hope: 1) Our organization as a whole looks a lot more structurally sound. McDemott’s 3rd year, Allen has Daboll for 2nd year in a row. Defense returning 10-11 starters. 2) Jets cut a good kicker and then looking for a new kicker 3) Jets signed their starting center half way through camp, out of retirement. 4) Jets cut their 3rd Round Pick before the season starts, 5) Jets lost one of their key players to injury (Williamson) for the season to injury 6) Jets lost two players to suspension Copeland and Herndon. Overall I'm hopeful for a victory and think they’ve done a solid job putting together a competent, competitive roster. But I won’t be TOO disappointed if we lose week 1.
