  1. To think Peterman was the starting/startling quarterback on this team weeks ago.
  2. Would have been really something for Kyle to have completed a pass, for the cycle in his career. The replacement DT for Kyle? She'd definitely stop the run.
  3. Tua did his thing but what really hurt Oklahoma was their inability to stop the run in critical situations, when stops were a must.
  4. We basically need multiple new offensive linemen. I don't care if they're free agents or draft picks. This team will not have a fully functional, successful offense until the line is fixed. That's the top and bottom line priority.
  5. Also, his brother's coming in next year as a big TE.
  6. Any explanation of why he might want to leave? Possibly concerned about the competition he'd have, or the loss of Johnson?
  7. They're not doing it to give him some rest before the next game. The message is pretty clear.
  8. Most games are won on the line. You won't win a championship without a very good one.
  9. Every team has had misses over the years.
  10. Coryell should be a no brainer (again).
  11. Although he's not great, Hurts.
  12. If you see him play, you appreciate his upside. If you simply read the stats, you're doing yourself a big disservice.
  13. Yesterday, I sent a message to a reporter at the Washington Post who was ranking on Allen as well. Told him his teammates and the fans love him and to watch Josh instead of reading the stat line. Ignorance is bliss.
  14. "All we want for Christmas is an offensive line and some wideouts." Repeat three times.
  15. How are rookies and practice squad players a motley crew?
  16. Just sent a message to a columnist at the Washington Post newspaper. When he mentions the Bills, he continually suggests, as he did today, that Allen is severely struggling and may not make it. I suggested he watch the kid in action and he'll understand why his teammates and the fans love him, despite his horrific offensive line and lack of quality receivers.
  17. It may have to do with how you enter the NFL, which can affect how long it takes you to settle in and succeed. Allen entered with confidence and swagger, and a propensity to lead even though he was a raw rookie. Rosen, as many before him, may have come in with a propensity to function as the raw rookie he is. It's too early to tell which Josh was the right one to pick.
  18. "Houston, we have a problem." On our initial drive, Allen was pushing the Bills down the field with short tosses and the backs were chewing up yardage. The Lions showed no ability to slow the momentum. So who on earth called the sudden deep throw that missed? It basically killed the drive, as Detroit couldn't, and we got nada.
  19. Perhaps we can give this "passed on Mahomes" bit a rest? How many coaches and GMs passed on Brady, a number of times? Yes, they still regret it but have moved on.
