  1. Thanks for posting. One thing I wonder is whether we preferred Singletary or Montgomery, who was picked shortly before Singletary. In any case, it was a fine draft.
  2. TJ will most likely wind up on the practice squad, either here or elsewhere. He should never have come out, everyone knows it, and there's no way he should be on the active roster given what he has to learn and develop.
  3. One preseason magazine predicted he'd be an All American. Must have played hurt most, if not all of the season.
  4. We lucked out on our first two picks. It's about time.
  5. He has serious speed and abs. That doesn't equate to being a good football player. Trading up would have been a serious waste.
  6. Saith George Allen, "The future is now." The current scheme doesn't equate. And we'll likely be better for it in the long run.
  7. The critical difference is the OL. It's like night and day. In that regard, whoever signs/ed Mills has my sympathy.
  8. He's like those Olympic sprinters that try pro ball and never make it.
  9. It makes plenty of sense if his shoulder remains a problem, unless he's willing to sign for peanuts.
  10. "Beasley and Easley are split out."
  11. If most quarterbacks were playing behind last years "offensive line," they'd have incredible inaccuracy stats. And the fact Allen was a rookie is irrelevant. But what's logic have to do with it.
  12. I'll still take the Bisons of the "50s and "60s, playing under community ownership at Offerman Stadium and with limited major league affiliation. They continually picked up ex-major leaguers such as Luke Easter and were really good, winning the Little World Series if I recall correctly. With their shoestring community ownership budget, you had better throw foul balls back onto the field, as the fans chanted "throw it back," or it wasn't the umpires fans were booing.
  13. Reminds me of when the Bills, during their first couple years of existance, signed a young quarterback (Johnny Green) who was considered a real hot shot. Turned out he continually threw interceptions in camp and the preseason. So they tested his eyes and determined he was color blind. Stayed briefly with the Bills and later the old NY Titans but never did much at all.
  14. I've been in the Maryland suburbs of DC "forever" and go to Frederick often. But I wouldn't go there for Buffalo wings. Too many other good places in Frederick. My biggest craving over the years has been for a Teds on Rockville Pike in Rockville. Ain't gonna happen. The Pike, however, will finally be getting a Wegmans.
  15. Dan Snyder always controls round 1, and just about everything else going on.
  16. Let someone like Rex Ryan coach them with Brady at quarterback and you'll see how simplistic this argument is.
  17. Intangibles and film, as noted, ace this discussion. They speak much more than paper does.
  18. He MIGHT become our 4th LB.
  19. Ansah obviously still has issues. Other teams know this. Camp isn't really that far off. If during the interim he clears up his health problems, there's nothing that says other teams will not show renewed interest. It's thus not simply "get healthy, become a Bill." We shall see, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
  20. Someone who's really good but was injured. Teams shied away from him but he'll be healthy and really good again.
  21. Why do we need a wide receiver? Hello?
  22. Johnson was even picked on some pre-season All American teams.
  23. Surprised Johnson and Sills were not drafted.
  24. Why do we need a receiver? It's like a tape roll out there.
