  1. Theisman is not likeable but at least he knows the game. The biggest fool on the tube, by far, is Brent Musberger. Cool Brent knows nothing about anything but the networks just keep wheeling him back out. Must be cool to be as cool as BM.
  2. Mark Rypien, early on. JP's mistakes are correctable. He does need to protect the ball better, but that should come with experience. Rypien's early starts were characterized by game after game of fumbling the ball away and inconsistency. Once he gained experience, he led the Redskins to the Super Bowl. JP, big picture wise, shows he is really maturing. If he keeps it up and we show some patience with him, who knows where he'll take us. Bottom line, last year when JP screwed up, he went and sulked. This year, he gets mad. Which would you rather see?
  3. Until JP has a number of more starts under his belt, no one has a solid basis for liking or disliking him, especially when they have rarely, if ever, seen Losman play.
  4. You have to hand it to the Ravens PR Department. They sure snookered Donohoe. Either that or Donohoe's scouts didn't have a clue because Jamal Lewis was Superman.
  5. Yeh, any rookie who has not torn up the league after two career games must be a waste of a pick.
  6. Brunell's arm is shot and his OL is overrated. What has really caught up with the Redskins are their pathetic drafts. That's what happens when your owner, who knows nothing about the game, insists on being the defacto general manager. Poor Joe Gibbs.
  7. What's your job? Are you perfect? If you are being paid to be perfect, you are working for a bunch of idiots.
  8. The Bills remain the team that keeps on giving. Why does every Bills team of late look undersized and weak? Perhaps they just play that way.
  9. Moorman got clobbered and I got excited. It was pitiful there was no call.
  10. You have it all right. Royal was not, and both our lines looked like a bunch of weaklings out there.
  11. Just have a feeling Willis is going to roll against the Pats.
  12. I agree with about where we are heading. And sports today, whether it is amateur or pro, is symptomatic of what our society has become. Whatever it takes to win is what it's all about. You have CEOs in prison, Barry Bonds, and all sorts of other losers like the idiot ice hockey coach, in the amateur league I coached in, who left the bench when one of the kids on my team received a penalty against his team, went around the rink to the penalty box, and proceeded to punch out my kid. When my kid's parents intervened, someone called the police. So by contrast to what else is going on these days, what BB did is actually kind of tame.
  13. Is half the NU basketball team in jail? Read something about a parking lot brawl.
  14. Among their other problems, the Skins have a big problem with their kicking game. John Hall and the coaches are apparently so concerned about blowing out his leg again that he can't hit a 35-40 yarder. He also is no longer handling kick-offs, since he can't get any distance. The punter had been terrible, until last night. They keep running in free agents to take a look. This guy is also handling kick-offs right now.
  15. The Washington Post is reporting (WashingtonPost.com) that Redskins owner Dan Snyder has signed a major deal with Tom Cruise's production company to produce movies starring the mad bouncer. This will likely be the kiss of death for Tommy Boy as whatever Snyder gets involved with, even when he has zero experience in the field, he insists on be the leading man, basically calling all the major shots. Look what its done for the Skins, who have never had a general manager under Snyder (even if they did, it would likely be someone with little authority who would cow-tow to The Man). Good luck Thomas. If you think the press has been brutal, wait until Danny sits you on his couch. For starters, talk to Norv Turner.
  16. Thank you all. What about the restaurants at the casinos?
  17. Only got a nibble on the Sabres board, so hope you all can give me a mouthful. I am looking for good restaurants in the Lewiston, Falls area, and across the bridge in nearby Canada. I expect to be spending a considerable amount of time in those environs. Thanks.
  18. And Babe Ruth should have stayed a pitcher, since as one he certainly wasn't a "real" hitter.
  19. Marv's kind of guy, for sure!
  20. Any other Harpur/Binghamton alums on the board? Tony Kornheiser is already mentioning his alma mater and giving us our due on MNF. He's apparently baiting Theisman-mouth to spiel on how wonderful Joe and Notre Dame are by comparison (all in good fun). Tony is going to show Theisman up, not intentionally, and Joe ain't gonna like it. The games may turn out boring but this could be interesting.
  21. Did you mention The Curse?
  22. And why Donohoe isn't either.
