  1. As the tv announcers pointed out, JP still has to learn to throw the ball away when nothing is there. Lack of a running game is not an excuse for some very poor decision-making. And what was that shovel pass, in the first half, to a Bill with two Ravens draped all over him?
  2. Did Denny start? I don't believe he did. But once he came in, he made a big difference in stopping the run, it appeared.
  3. And the Willis of old was consistently breaking it outside, with the stiffarm a major weapon. Where, indeed, has it gone?
  4. Agreed, but I'm not convinced we even have much of anything that can be referred to as a run defense? In the first half it appeared that we didn't have a defensive line on the field. I am not sure they touched anybody.
  5. What is the forecast for the game tomorrow? Thanks.
  6. All you heard about the last two years was how Sam Wyche was grooming JP. And all you saw was nothing much. Wyche is gone and someone taught the kid how to set his feet before he throws. His accuracy has improved exponentially, as, obviously, has his confidence. So much for the notion that bringing in big name specialists is always the answer.
  7. If the young offensive linemen keep developing as fast as they appear to be, the top priority fix may be a big time run stopper. Until recently, it certainly appeared the OL was the primary concern. We still need help on both sides of the ball, but todays game especially pointed out the critical requirement in the middle of the DL. Another major concern may be cornerback. McGee has still not convinced me he is a number one CB, once Clements departs. The way he totally misplayed the tying TD today is not comforting.
  8. As today showed, we need a big time run stopper.
  9. Quoting Admiral Stockdale signifies that the ship really is sinking.
  10. How would you like to be playing behind this OL? Give the kid a break, he's still learning - hard.
  11. The guy not only missed all of camp, but all the exhibitions, where he probably would have played alot. Merely being around since than does not mean he is able to catch up.
  12. Keith Olberman, on MSNBC, announced the win by stating "He finally completed a pass."
  13. The linebacking in general was solid.
  14. Not mad that we won; mad that how we won is pretty meaningless, all things considered - sweetheart.
  15. Favre, aside from the few miscues, not all of which were his fault, basically did whatever he wanted out there. He passed the hell out of the Bills D. The Bills rarely seemed to be be attempting or able to break up his passes. Does this defense, and its coaches, have a clue about adjusting to what is going on on the field? Also, it's pretty sad when your best weapon is your punter. Special teams did excel.
  16. Who really cares that we won. We stunk up the place. You are probably one of those that was all excited last year when we won at the end of that pathetic season and blew our chances for picking near the very top of the board.
  17. They only slow your reaction time during the period they are being effective, usually about 8 hours. So unless J.P. is taking them the morning of games, they should not be a problem. I think J.P. has made significant progress. This is his first opportunity for significant playing time and he's still, obviously, learning. Plus, the OL has not afforded him a reliable security blanket. Things could be worse; ask Parcells about his (former) starting QB.
  18. J.P. Lostheball. I do believe this can be fixed. The OL, another story.
  19. You will need to.
  20. The fools on this board who make fun of anyone's name or hair are doing nothing but revealing how infantile they are. That stuff really matters when you have nothing better to contribute to the board. Yeah, everyone in the box should be a drone or be cool like Brent "know nothing" Musburger.
  21. Certainly the instant experts here would have no problem working under the same bright light they like to shine on, basically, a novice.
