  1. It wasn't lack of interest; it was the coming of Electricity. I saw many of those games. The only back who could have excelled behind that line would have been Jim Brown. Which does raise the question of how good Willis would be behind a superior line. However, I am not sure it matters line-wise with Willis. He seemed to lose initiative and interest after the first year or so of playing for the Bills. Remember his first successful year? He was straight-arming everyone with great success and played like a determined runner game-after-game. It's like he had something to prove coming back from the injury. As time went by, the arm appeared to be weaker and weaker, perhaps symptomatic of Willis' will.
  2. You want Baltimore ghetto, watch The Wire.
  3. One way to look at it is that Willis isn't heading north (Toronto) after all. He has been heading south for some time; he's finally arriving there.
  4. Totally agree he will be our pick.
  5. Where did this come from? Betts is much more a Joe Gibbs-type back than Clinton Portis. Plus, the Redskins just gave Betts a new contract.
  6. The Redskins really want to resign this guy. The DC-area press has been saying this all week.
  7. He's one hell of a receiver, who gets no press aside from the injuries. If he can pass a physical, I'd grab him.
  8. Marv won't touch him, and certainly won't want to have to listen to him.
  9. I suspect this bright light will get arrested again down the road. Whoever is stuck with him at that time will have a convenient reason to drop him. On second thought, that's not kind. Perhaps he's cleaned up his act a bit and can stay out of trouble. But, in any case, why does anyone want the suits, the brain, and the mouth, legalities notwithstanding? On third thought, Terry Bradshaw.
  10. No offensive linemen on list. Too bad.
  11. Like WM or not, that's not what's really important. It doesn't matter who the Bills have at RB. Unless someone is opening things up for him, he's going nowhere. People keep forgetting that "Killer" had rather ordinary stats for the Bills until the turned on the "electricity" for him. Use your top pick on a run blocker (or a horse in the middle of the DL).
  12. Here's betting that Portis gets cut. He's too injury prone and has a high salary to be attractive to many teams. Also, Gibbs prefers bigger, power-type backs like Betts and Duckett. I will bet that once Duckett goes to camp and learns the schemes, he'll get substantial playing time next season. After all, the Redskins gave up two high picks for him.
  13. Don't worry. The experts on this board will have it all figured out. Remember the ones who went "ape" when we picked Williams, the OL savior, and were nuts about guys like Bunkley because they read somewhere that he was good? It will be a thrill a moment. as we get nearer to the draft. reading the sanctimoneous posts.
  14. It will be interesting to see if McCargo is able to justify the Bills expenditure for him. It would be a major plus. Unfortunately, they can't count on anything.
  15. Ravens defense can will disable the Chargers.
  16. Hope we wipe the Danny in DC. Expect to be at that one.
  17. You were expecting more on these shows that are nothing more than excuses for selling big money commercials? Someone should tell Ryan Secrest that he can be easily replaced by another commercial (my preference).
  18. You win games based on your offensive and defensive lines. Does anyone really think we don't need significant help on both sides of the ball. It may be only one player on either side, but use the high pick there. Bottom line, we can't stop the run and we can't open holes for our backs. Yes, free agency may be the answer. But "I'm from Missouri" on this one. The only deviation factor here, for me, is if they don't re-sign Clements. If Nate leaves, which I believe is highly likely, yes, CB my be the Bills preference. I hope it doesn't come to that.
  19. Is it just me or do the Bills, game after game, look undersized and thus pretty much dominated on both sides of the ball? I wonder what our record would have been with a Pat Williams-type in the middle of the D line.
