  1. Many teams have one individual that remains around but represents mediocrity. You know the team will never arrive so long as that gross mediocrity is around. A prime example is Dan Snyder, the Redskins' arrogant but clueless owner. For the Bills, it's Leodis McKelvin. He has no business being on the team (I cringe when I see him on the field). When he is gone, perhaps the Bills have truly arrived.
  2. How desperate can you be?
  3. The Redskins were without two starting offensive linemen today. One is out for the season and it's not clear Williams will be back for the Bills game. Now they've clearly lost Hightower and Moss (if he does have a broken hand). There other running backs are Ryan Torain (another injury waiting to happen) and Ray Helu, a hard running rookie who hasn't played that much. If Beck starts again at QB, we'll have to be careful because he's quite mobile. But mobile or not, we'll need to get pressure on him because without Moss, there receivers are not that great. At the end of the game, they put in a big rookie receiver (his first play this season) and he immediately ran a wrong route that led to an interception. I think his name his Hankerson. In the preseason, he was dropping passes. So the Redskins offense appears highly vulnerable at this point. The Bills have to take advantage of this opportunity. Are you listening Edwards?
  4. It's too much, especially for a guy Palmer's age and with his injury history.
  5. After Roosevelt's touchdown, I don't believe he saw the ball again. Why?
  6. I hate to say it but what was he on?
  7. He's been shaky since he got here.
  8. It's not a mistake when Fitz under throws or flares a deep pass. He just shouldn't be attempting most deep balls because he obviously doesn't have the arm for it. He's shown this time and again. If he plays within his abilities, and the coaches encourage this with their play calling, Fitz is fine and we're probably fine as well (on the offensive side of the ball).
  9. Is Edwards defensive game plan "Don't touch their quarterback?"
  10. Most any call for Fitz to throw long is a curious call.
  11. Did today finally make it register with Galley and Fitzpatrick that the latter has no business attempting to throw long. It always should have been obvious but today cinched it.
  12. They probably should being giving Florence a test about now.
  13. Why is George Edwards our defensive coordinator?
  14. No kidding! And you're being nice.
  15. I'll take 4-1. You can have your hindsight.
  16. Don't forget, so many of the current starters have played little in the past or are mere rookies. The more these guys play, the better they should become. So, hopefully, we'll win games in ways other than by turnovers and drawing teams offsides etc. The bye week will be important as we should get a number of the injured guys back and/or rested for the following games. BEAT THE GIANTS!
  17. Anyone know of a Bills bar in Portland, Oregon? Thanks.
  18. If he's not tops, he's almost there. Too bad for the Redskins his game isn't as big as his mouth.
  19. I wish McKelvin would scare some receivers.
  20. Many said it last year and the problem remains: a new defensive coordinator might do wonders for this team. When you become known as a defense that plays it safe, the opposition has a major advantage. They certainly do this year. Getting rid of McKelvin would help also.
  21. Cinci's wide defenders were lining up in the neutral zone all game and not getting called. Once they even crossed the line of scrimmage before the snap and no call. Their O line was holding all day and nada. A totally incompetent crew that the league needs to do something about. I sent the NFL a message. But they probably get tons of them every week after games.
  22. Batten should be playing more. He's always firing and tackling.
