  1. This guy thinks it's an issue. Jerry Smith was a tremendous receiver for the Redskins way back when. You think his teammates (some of them must have known and spread the word) didn't appreciate his contributions despite what he was? Plenty of them showed up at his funeral.
  2. Ever hear of law of averages? Ever hear of the Red Sox winning the World Series after a zillion years? The LOA dictates that even the Bills will win something some day. Barkley will be a good pro in the right system.
  3. Does anyone know anything about Flynn other than he's been a back-up? Just because someone's been a back-up to top flight quarterbacks doesn't mean he can't play. Steve Young was once a back-up.
  4. Sign him as a FA; he'll be there.
  5. Davis can catch the ball but he's never seen a block he cared to make.
  6. Blotter or not, he's a good one.
  7. Go for it Snyder if you have any cap space. Of course, you may try it even if you have none.
  8. We need lots of things. TE, though a need, is not near the top of the list when you consider the gaping holes on the OL, at QB, and at LB. TE is not lost in the discussion; it's just a secondary consideration when you look at priorities.
  9. Anyone considered a top quarterback obviously has at least on receiver who can consistently catch the ball. It's a given that a QB wouldn't have any reputation if everyone had stone hands. So you have to go by quarterback basics, i.e. arm strength, accuracy, pocket presence, intelligence, ability to adjust, mobility, performance in big games, etc. Using these to truly gauge pro potential, you make your pick - and more often than not still get it wrong.
  10. Could use the old M. Stratton now. He could play.
  11. Everybody relax; it won't happen this year. As George Allen would not have said, "the future is not now."
  12. Ain't hindsight wonderful? The Bills were on a role when they resigned Fitz and he was playing very well. You must be the only one who knew it was a guaranteed fluke. Not saying it was a smart move at the time given Fitz's track record, especially at Cincinnati. But no one complained under the circumstances.
  13. The rebuilding era begins, again.
  14. Agreed. What coverage skills?
  15. Sure, why not try out another 200 nobody quarterbacks as well.
  16. Vince Young also made a "comeback," and he once did something.
  17. You forgot the Redskins.
