  1. You mean Jauron's "fire" didn't impress you?
  2. My hands are cold. Know anywhere I can get some gloves.
  3. Not sure we don't need a coach who is an egotistical loudmouth. We've had a lot of the other type and where has that gotten us? The key will be Ryan's OC and Whaley's drafting and signings.
  4. Are you sure you're not in over your head?
  5. We need to bring in a FA quarterback. EJ as a savior is a major reach, despite what his GM says. If I'm Ryan, I insist on it before I sign the contract (of course $5 million a year may temper his insistance). The longer you work on "developing" EJ, the more disillusioned veterans on this team will be. It's hard enough to keep good ones in Buffalo as it is. Bring in a FA and let them fight it out. Also, look at Kirk Cousins; he'll come cheap. He's talented no matter what his critics say.
  6. It never changes. He always looks like he's in deep pain.
  7. Many consider George Bush a terrible president who has cost us many lives. Do we say he should be removed from the list of those who succeeded (with some legalistic help) in becoming president? Of course not. Even an impeached president would remain on that list. Simpson is on the wall for what he accomplished as a Bill, not for what he did subsequently.
  8. He didn't play much his rookie year and when he did, appeared pretty lost out there. Comparing him that season to "a lot of better NFL QBs" is a real stretch.
  9. Russell Wilson has always been an accurate passer with tremendous feel for the game. EJ has shown none of those qualities. Don't get too excited.
  10. Sammy will prove it was a good trade. Just get him a quarterback who can get him the ball. Since that's a very tall order, Sammy may unfortunately never appear to have given us enough value.
  11. Mike Shanahan put on his game face during the interview and everyone thought he was in deep depression. He probably hasn't smiled since Elway retired.
  12. Mannion is an interesting possibility. He was quite good and well thought of at Oregon State his first two years and then got injured. Right now he's an under the radar guy coming off a mediocre team.
  13. You revive something that was once viable. It sure wasn't EJ.
  14. Sounds good to me. If they go anywhere else, an overrated Shanahan would be totally deflating.
  15. You have no problem with Gilmore and McKelvin? Watch them play.
  16. They're smart. We should be as well.
  17. Totally agree. No one really good is going to want to "develop" a quarterback who has exhibited significant deficiencies in accuracy and feel for the game, unless of course they see something there few others can see. Whaley, if he's truly pushing that agenda with prospective coaches is making a mistake. Self justification, if that's what's under the surface, should not be part of this search.
  18. I've liked Whaley thus far but this business about developing EJ gives me great pause. It's almost a call out for self justification. You can't teach accuracy and feel for the game.
  19. Sounds like a louder Belichek If he can coach like Bill, I'll take him. Jimmy Johnson wasn't full of himself? He did okay.
  20. It's a good move. Pegula needs to target his top two or three and do what he can do, i.e. offer them irresistable bucks to come to Buffalo. If more than one bites, take your pick. Make sure none of their names are Shanahan, please.
