  1. One starting CB with a concussion, the other who can't find the ball. Wonderful.
  2. it's getting more interesting with Griffin. His sources are saying he didn't see an independent neurologist Thursday, which contradicts what Gruden stated yesterday. Griffin says he doesn't even think he suffered a concussion. The Redskins are more screwed up than ever and the season hasn't even started. I more and more believe that Gruden, who really doesn't like Griffin and probably has to play him because Snyder insists, left him in last week when he was getting totally pummeled with some expectation he might get injured. The DC press continues to speculate about this. Gruden's best laid plan worked, except Snyder may well get tired of his act and it'll cost Gruden his job. That and the fact that Gruden doesn't appear that swift to begin with.
  3. If he looks as good as he did last week it is.
  4. True. They may have been under orders from Gruden, who's likely playing Griffin only because Snyder told him he must. Cousins is a good quarterback. He has to learn to not self destruct once he makes a mistake.
  5. Well, he certainly couldn't have gotten any worse.
  6. Just like Taylor didn't shine with the Ravens so forget about him, right?
  7. Into the regular season is one thing; continuing thru the season will reflect that the Bills are watchable for a change.
  8. Very wishful thinking, ignoring the hard facts. EJ did play better in last weeks game but that doesn't mean "problem solved." He certainly needs to show some consistency; we've had our RJ. Hopefully, Manual's progressing, as is Taylor, but it's still pretty much a hung jury at this point.
  9. Why do you feel going on IR is negotiable? Plus, you receive your salary instead of being cut. Plus, if you're cut you may have to settle for a lesser salary to get picked up.
  10. Hogan was better than adequate. I still think Hogan may go on IR. You keep one more of the young guys and have Hogan for next year; he's a proven receiver.
  11. Agree about Goodwin. He looked very good last game, and healthy.
  12. Thanks. Can't see keeping five tight ends; another wideout perhaps.
  13. I give up. Talking to walls does that to you.
  14. This has nothing to do about race unless you make it. Since that's apparently your tack let's use Art Monk instead. He finally made the Hall but did it basically by running good routes and having great hands, not being mercury. It took so many years to get there because many voters said that a guy who basically ran 8 yard hooks shouldn't be in the Hall. But every Redskin receiver who played with him, and there were some very good ones on those Super Bowl-winning teams, said he made them and the team better and didn't necessarily have to be in the highlight reel to do so.
  15. He's not Welker. I'm merely using him as an example of how a successful team like the Pats has a variety of weapons.
  16. Of course no one fears guys who either can't play (Graham) or are frequently injured, or both. But there's nothing wrong with having a solid, possession receiver in your arsenal. It adds reliability and a change of pace. Welker didn't hurt the Pats by any stretch. And you do win with guys like Hogan so long as you don't depend on them as your primary offensive weapons.
  17. The true story is that Redskin coaches injure Griffin by continuing to play him when he's clearly hurt (Shanahan) or getting unmercilesly pounded in an exhibition game (Gruden, who clearly cannot stand Griffin despite Snyder likely insisting he start - article in Washington Post suggesting Gruden may have left him in Friday hoping he'd get injured). Boy does III need a new team and environment.
  18. He's injured now. It happens all the time when a team wants to protect a player who's not seriously injured. They can say they have no idea how long he'll be out.
  19. Is that a manual plan of attack?
  20. Because there are many true experts on this board?
  21. Hogan to IR as long as they truly want to hang on to these young studs and see if they develop.
