  1. He's done well but his big challenge now is to locate an effective kicker or a great psychologist for Carpenter. And he needs to do either ASAP. An inconsistent kicker could ruin the season.
  2. We need OL depth. Why not?
  3. So the Bills drafted him because he knows Rex's son. One has to assume that many others on the Clemson team know Rex's son as well. Why didn't the Bills draft or bring them into camp? Perhaps the team decided this guy can play and was worth a shot, Rex's son notwithstanding.
  4. Keep him. He's a major insurance policy if untried Tyrod fizzles out and the new, improved EJ turns out to not be for real when things matter.
  5. Right now Darby is a major liability as a starter. I believe those running the show realize this and will not keep him out there if he doesn't quickly improve and show some consistency. His only consistency thus far has been as a liability. Yes, he's a rookie who was a high draft pick, but we're not in desperation mode.
  6. Your assuming Karlos will be in game shape, feeling fine, and able to go all game. Hmmm
  7. Urbik is somewhat versatile. But when they recently signed a center, the handwriting was on the wall. Richardson has never shown anything.
  8. That's a real counter punch.
  9. The problem with the rule changes is that anyone who played a lot, performed well, and got injured can make the PS. However, once they're healthy, if you want to keep them you better activate them or risk seeing another team grab them. Which raises the question of how you effectively hide they're being healthy from a team who senses someone should be okay by now based on the nature of their injury, as in Goodwin's ribs. IR can become a safer option in this regard.
  10. Regarding your predictioin, what's worrisome about the Bills offense is that so many key skill players didn't or rarely played in the pre-season and may not even have practiced much. Even if healthy once the season starts, how sharp and in shape will they be, especially against two tough opening teams?
  11. It's nuclear physics for some. Did Tarpley look as good as the radio guys said he did?
  12. So Brady equates to an unconvicted murderer?
  13. Do we know why he was on PUP at the start of camp?
  14. What's interesting is that if she's a drunk, what about her hubbie? He used to be but has supposedly reformed. That's what he told the Redskins. So she drinks heavily and he doesn't touch the stuff? Hmmm.
  15. I hope his nickname becomes "The Pro Bowler." Almost making it will work as well. Otherwise, who cares?
  16. Do we know if Detroit is sitting their starters? Their starting defense is really tough, even without Suh.
  17. They're saying that he didn't ask that the balls be deflated. More importantly, I don't recall if the league questioned them. I assume they did. How could the suspension not stand if they advised the league that Brady either had them deflate the balls or otherwise knew they'd been deflated?
  18. No, it's the Redskins that have become such a great pastime. "Soap Opera By Snyder" should win some sort of entertainment award. It goes on and on and gets curiouser by the day. I said to myself something may turn out bad when the Redskins hired a new GM with a history of alcoholism. Who new the drama would be created by his wife.
  19. How does one heal himself? Snap your finger?
  20. Definitely concerned. He's looking like McKelvin did, early on - can't locate the ball, loses his man. McKelvin got better but that doesn't mean Darby will become a solid starter. The primary concern is that other teams will be throwing his way consistently until he improves. The detrimental effect of that could be significant if he remains a starter. Interesting to see who Whaley goes after on cut day
