  1. Back to theme of this thread, BB has always been a great coach and his teams are always incredibly well prepared. Belichick combined with an exceptional quarterback like Brady is poison for the opposition year in and year out. It's easy to find every excuse imaginable for losing to the Pats but it's nothing more than "head in sand" mentality. If you want to beat the Pats be better prepared than they are, play exquisite defense against them, and play 60 minutes under control. The Patriots didn't win this game by deflating the ball and stealing our plays. They were simply better prepared. Man up to it.
  2. Ask him why he settled for so little money with all his talent.
  3. He looked quite comfortable functioning from the pocket last week, when there was one.
  4. Glad you have it all figured out. How could they have missed you when they hired coaches? Granted, Taylor took too much time getting rid of the ball at times but it's a real stretch putting it all on a guy starting his second NFL game against a team like New England.
  5. "No adjustment from the coaching staff" is a gross understatement. It was pathetic coaching. And why not another on side kick at the end? Did they expect Brady to turn it over again?
  6. Two of them were deflections.
  7. Someone needs to tell Mr. Ryan that hype about the high powered offense and shut down defense doesn't win games. You can have both, although the D today shut nothing down, but you won't win consistently, especially against good teams, if you have little or no discipline. The penalties today were insane. If the coaching staff can't get that under control, we're toast no matter how we otherwise may play.
  8. 7. Lack of ANY pressure on Brady.
  9. Pathetic performance. They were almost as bad as the defense.
  10. Now all we need is some great news about McCoy.
  11. Wrong. Defense is the key. If you think you can allow Brady to do whatever he wants because your offense will make up for it, you're smoking something. Disrupting Brady is the key. Otherwise he will kill you.
  12. Blitz like hell and make Brady wish he was home with his wife.
  13. Tell them to turn off their hearing aids
  14. Our intercepted headset communications were coded to deceive them; i.e. run right actually meant pass left etc.
  15. Agreed. How many times have you seen the Sabres, even when they were good, enter the third period with a lead, go into a defensive shell, and lose the lead. When you put yourself too soon into a situation where you give the opposition offensive impetus, confidence, and drive, and your defense gets worn down, you're asking for trouble, especially against a good team. Remember the Oilers against the Bills?
  16. The money is on whether or not we can get to Brady, and how often. That's the key. Everything flows from there and any team that can't do that gets picked apart. Given that major unknown, there's no way I'd bet on this game.
  17. Your absolutely right about Brady getting the ball off quickly. But Luck also gets the ball off quickly and the blitz certainly didn't hurt us. If you give Brady even more time to throw by not blitzing, he'll pick you to pieces continually.
  18. The Washington Post has us at 12 (and they "love" their Redskins at 31).
  19. Blitz, blitz, blitz, and cut down on the penalties. Brady gets the ball away so quickly (like Luck) that he has to be quickly overwhelmed. Put a grimace on Belichick's face early on and often.
  20. The OL penalties will kill us as much as the whiffs.
  21. Who was hobbling a bit after that last tackle.
  22. Hopefully, by the final game of the season it will be "Winners."
