  1. Refs will be watching extra hard for Bills penalties. Once you develop a rep, it's hard to break it. It doesn't help that Rex was yelling at the refs all game. His team becomes a target because of him as well, ask Lindy Ruff how it was when he coached the Sabres and gave the refs hell game after game.
  2. Brown knows the plays. He's a natural at this point. Super glue!
  3. The fact that all this talent that Whaley and the Pegulas have brought in is being wasted by what appears to be mediocre coaching. The fans expected a lot more. Yes, there may be complacency on the part of the high salaried "stars" that have become part of the equation but coaches have feet.
  4. Yes, he does look like a quarterback who's played in only a few NFL games and never previously started. But he still has shown a lot. So he shouldn't be playing and gaining experience? And who should he be backing up? Oh yes, another kid who's only played in a few NFL games. Don't put it on Taylor. Thus far he's more a victim of poor execution by team mates, penalties, and very erratic coaching.
  5. So apparently everything is just fine. Don't run for office. Indeed. Popularity contests don't win games; respect and performance do.
  6. I second the game ball for Eli Manning. He sure as hell had us figured out. And Darby is playing like a Pro Bowl candidate, already. The goof ball should go to our coaching staff.
  7. He's apparently playing with an injury as well as more pressure (the field goal length extra points).
  8. Who kept calling wide outs inside the 5? Put the ball in the end zone!
  9. When your head coach talks a good game and in that sense is undisciplined, why shouldn't the rest of the team follow suit and take shots? The problem is that when the coach is undisciplined, it shows up in the press; when the players are undisciplined it shows up on the scoreboard. Rex, shut your mouth and coach, if you can.
  10. Carpenter was injured during preseason and has obviously not fully recovered. He's quite limited and obviously shaky. If he's not 100% and unable to kick off, we really need another option, at least until he is 100% As for the kick-off specialist, he should only be occupying a roster spot if he can consistently get the ball deep or out of the end zone and possibly be able to back-up the place kicker. This guy does neither. Oh for the good old days when your starting quarterback was also your place kicker (George Blanda) and you starting tight end was your place kicker as well (Lou Groza).
  11. Two losses in two games where this team was simply not prepared.
  12. Going deep into the third quarter I was still wondering if anyone had advised this team that the game had started.
  13. Possibly a bit overpaid, which can lead to a fair degree of complacency.
  14. Amen. But you also have to be given the resources to make it work. Thank you Terry and Doug.
  15. All teams have to reconstruct while still attempting to retain certain key personnel. What's critical is that you have the will, front office smarts, coaching, and finances to do it successfully. Talk to the Patriots and Green Bay organizations in this regard. Players who understand and benefit from being with such organizations frequently stick around or are happy to go there as free agents.
  16. Quite true. Thanks
  17. No more National Felon League? Got to be a fluke.
  18. Did anyone pick up Brown?
  19. Wood will quite possibly see a lot of action. McCoy should not be rushed back as hamstrings notoriously go out even when you feel like they're okay. They have to be certain because it's not worth the risk. Also, we've seen enough of Dixon for awhile.
  20. I really like Aiken and never understood why the Bills didn't give him much of a chance.
  21. He is a short yardage back but he isn't.
  22. Without Boobie doing anything, certainly McCoy. Williams is not God. You have all sorts of alternatives at receiver on this team.
