Where's the proof that Rex is a "defensive genius?" Just because someone says it, doesn't mean it's true. Part of being a genius should be making significant adjustments when things are not right. I haven't seen much sign of that. And tailoring defensive schemes to the capabilities of your personnel (as in rushing the passer when you have fine pass rushers) doesn't take a brilliant mind. Anyone can attempt to hammer a square peg into a round hole. Also, I haven't seen game plans that smack of genius, or coaching disciplined play for that matter. Rex has to show me plenty before he earns the six letter adjective.
Jordan Gay had an interesting question: is a taco a sandwich? This is clearly a heavy duty intellectual exercise. Also, is this a question on the test these guys take at the Combine.
Of course it's different. Your beer adds you know are paid for. Pushing patriotism shouldn't be unless it's done overtly. Why do you think they have those disclaimers at the end of political adds, i.e. "Paid for by the dimwit campaign committee?" It's to explain that the tv station or network is not sponsoring or backing a particular candidate.
All the draft experts said Kouandjo would go in the first round. So what's your problem with that? Plus, the guy has only played and started a handful of games. Your biggest concern should be Rex Ryan, who was likely hired by the Pegulas.
It's not too bad, it's quite unfortunate. He showed plenty of talent while here and was the Revens' leading receiver last game (6 catches I believe).
Percy decided to become committed to football when he learned that if he retires during the season he doesn't get paid.
Rex Ryan is not a good coach. A good coach does not talk a good game and not deliver. I'd rather have a coach who keeps his mouth shut and knows how to coach. Give me Belichick any day. Also, a good coach would not come in and attempt to change a defensive scheme, with the same players who performed it so successfully. It's the old expression "if It ain't broken, don't fix it." Rex fixed nothing, he totally screwed up what worked so well. Finally, a good coach coaches a disciplined team. Tell me about Rex in that regard.
I don't believe it. Buf if he is on the hot seat it's not because of what he's done but how he's done it. And that's an internal thing that we don't know about at this point. When the Redskins were winning all those Super Bowls, no one had much of a clue that Joe Gibbs didn't get along with the GM, Bobby Beathard. You bring in quality players, as Whaley's done, you need a good coach to make it work. That's where our problem lies.
