No thanks. Gay is a "kickoff specialist" who has many of his kicks returned. We can't afford that, especially given our coverage team/scheme. Save a roster spot and get a field goal kicker who can kick deep and make extra points.
Clearly this sort of thing has never happened before. Fire the guy and send Sammy, Darby, Brown, and Karlos with him. And of course there are the other whiffs such as McCoy, Clay, Taylor, Richie, and Schmidt.
If you want to sell this team to the fans next year, get a head coach who can coach. Talk doesn't win games; knowing how to coach does. Ask Mr. B. what it's all about. He may not answer because talk is not cheap for him; he wins by silently coaching, year after year.
We need a solid kicker who can both make field goals and consistently kick-off with no return. Both of what we have now have to go and let's have an additional roster spot.
Woods dropped only one ball if I'm not mistaken.
We blitzed?
Carpenter needs to go as he can't kick off (either can the "specialist") and missing extra points more than once in a blue moon is deadly.
The special teams are far from special.
The two point try was a joke.
Rex is a joke.
Why all the hate for Pegula? He's a new owner, saved the franchise for the city, and is still getting the feel for owning a pro football team. Don't make him the scapegoat. The fact Ryan talked a good game during the interview and was perhaps recommended by others is not Terry's fault. The true test for Pegula is that he understands, quickly, that Rex can't coach and does something about it.
Anyone for P. Manning as a quarterback instructor? Tyrod has great upside but merely needs to develop under as much expert tutalege as he can get.
Terry needs to eat the salary and fire Rex. He's all talk and little else.
We have only one safety, Graham, who can play. But he can't be expected to be everywhere on the field. Even he made a bad play today when he missed a tackle on a TD, but was the TD his fault?
