Is Doug M. a poster child?
That's a nightmare guessing game. Take Steve Spurrier for example. Dan Snyder begged and pleaded with him and gave him incredible money to coach the Redskins. However, he was out of his element. He obtained a bit of a comfort level by bringing in ex-Florida retreads who couldn't succeed with anyone else and played just as poorly for Washington.
I had hoped until a few days ago for a Whaley press conference where he announced that Rex was fired.
Your right about that. Yet despite that and many other negatives, Ryan is still around. Go figure.
Rex can't coach, no matter what he says. Taylor should further develop and become a solid starter. We clearly need a good back-up QB, help on both lines, a beast linebacker, and a kicker who can do it all.
The only Bill who truly cares about this game is Ryan, unless you're one of the backups who's getting a chance to show something. Actually, Ryan's incentive factor has also decreased since Pegula wants him back, for a strange reason apparently spelled M O N E Y. Big mistake Mr. P.
We need one or even two stud offensive linemen and a stout linebacker above anything else. Taylor is still developing and should be allowed to do so. But a solid back-up is a must; an EJ-type is scary.
A first year NFL owner doesn't necessarily make the right moves and shouldn't be expected to do so. Hiring Rex was a mistake and, unfortunately, the agony will be extended. But there are owners who make countless mistakes year after year (Snyder). At least Pegula isn't telling the coach how to coach (Snyder) and making all the personnel decisions himself (Snyder until this season). Give Pegula a break and let him learn like any rookie does.
Dave, I'll go with Indonesia. A lot of resources but very poor management thereof. And as far as the running game goes, put a decent, solid line in front of a healthy McCoy and we'll all be glad we have him.
Sorry to hear about Ryan. Another year of "what was (or is) he thinking?" Also, another year of wondering what became of our once dominant pass defense. Perhaps, however, his "genius' will finally surface. Good luck with that.
They need Rex Ryan. He'll fit in perfectly with the Philly crowd. When they figure out he doesn't have anywhere near all the answers he'll tell them he does, that's a new thread.
