  1. Dream on. By the way, our offensive line was relatively healthy yesterday and they almost allowed our quarterback to get assassinated. And "Rex will look to stop the run?" Yesterday they played against a back who'd run for over 200 yards a week ago. They should have thus been looking hard at stopping Ajai yesterday, yet we got shredded run after run, mainly up the middle. Intelligent game preparation and in-game adjustments frequently work. Perhaps it's just the Bills being the Bills once again.
  2. I guess since they beat up on the Bills in most aspects of the game, they felt why not punch them out for the grand finale.
  3. Taylor needs more than support from his run game and defense; he needs a relatively functional offensive line in front of him. Today they were purely "offensive," including Glenn who was getting beat badly.
  4. After it was clear early on that McCoy didn't have it today because of the injury, why on earth did they keep playing him? It was a recipe for disaster. Voila, now he'll likely be ineffective for some time, as he was last season following a similar injury. Ajai ran for over 200 yards last week. Apparently our genius defensive coaches didn't notice. They also didn't notice today that he was continually running up the middle, with no adjustments being made in this regard.
  5. And look at how his offensive "offensive line" played (or basically didn't) today.
  6. It's always "it's only game" whatever. That's the history of the Bills, with game 16 generally sealing the deal. We need some innovative approaches beyond excuses.
  7. The officiating can be questioned, but it was continually toasting Miami. They had many drives shut down by penalties. We were just a joke on both sides of the ball and deserved to lose.
  8. You apparently were watching the game with an attitude, or perhaps not even watching. Taylor pretty much had no OL in front of him all game. Very few NFL quarterbacks could have done better under the circumstances.
  9. Taylor should sue his line for negligence. They were truly "offensive" the entire game, including Glenn who was continually getting beat. The defensive line was just as bad. They appeared to be on vacation, as in attempting to catch Phish with fishing tackle. The hole up our middle was immense, play after play.
  10. No, it was a clean hit. Landry appeared clearly upset about the injury. If the Bills defense had continually hit as hard as this wide receiver hits they likely would have won the game. It was a pathetic performance by the Bills, on both sides of the line.
  11. Aaron should probably not have come back to play following the last injury. This one should clinch it for him. Life is more important than football.
  12. Anyone who blames Taylor for this loss is delusional. He basically had a sieve in front of him for an line; it was truly an "offensive" line. It's rather incredible he accomplished as much as he did under the circumstances. The defensive line was just as bad. Miami controlled us totally on the line of scrimmage. Perhaps the Bills figured this one was in the bag before the game started and were looking forward to the Pats. They certainly "played" like this was the case.
  13. If McCoy is out, I'm more worried about Williams' fumbleitis than anything else.
  14. Williams needs to learn how to hold onto the ball or the "little" will be him.
  15. And also whether or not he is fully healed. Too many guys get rushed back to the detriment of themselves and the team. You don't want a guy who's never taken an NFL snap concerned about lingering soreness along with everything else going on around him. My guess is that if he does play this weekend, it will be very little.
  16. Are the Bills desperate? That's what you have to be to trade a number one pick for one of two guys that are getting up there in years and have a history of serious injuries. In Romo's case, no one will go high for him unless they have a Trump-like wall in front of him given his most recent problems. And BTW, we're not desperate.
  17. Pontificating to the press all the time takes time away from game preparation. So things are clearly looking up.
  18. 3) Kaepernick was clearly rusty as expected That was from the knee lock.
  19. Breath didn't scare away the defenders.
  20. Another comparison of the two: does Gilleslee stay in shape and out of trouble?
  21. When's the last time he hit someone in an NFL game or played in any kind of organized football game? Exactly! Bring him along very slowly, especially with our D already playing well.
  22. If you can afford him, and not hurt the team otherwise, pay him. He's above average but not elite.
