  1. Affordability can be based on who you choose not to resign.
  2. The question only raises questions.
  3. Plus 1, but he'll also be gone before we ever get to him as things currently stand.
  4. If he and/or Romo can pass a physical, and will come relatively cheap, why not. It would certainly make for an interesting preseason.
  5. Yes, the Clay contract may be a bit rich, but he can play if only someone would throw him the ball with any frequency.
  6. The Browns have all sorts of draft picks and Lynn, if I'm not mistaken.
  7. You'll never know if Cardale can develop unless you start and play him, which should have occurred the final games of last season.
  8. Can he throw a pass or only "catch" them?
  9. Is there a doctor in the house? If he comes cheap, why not other than (if that doctor is good) it would prolong developing a young quarterback. That's the decision you would have to make.
  10. The sequel will be "How to Draft a Poor Quarterback Prospect." It will have J.P. Losman, E.J. and the kid (I try hard to forget his name) that Bill Walsh raved about on the cover.
  11. Cardale should have started the final few games of the season. But Ryan felt his best chance of winning and not getting fired was to go with experience. So everyone lost out because of that phony.
  12. Players frequently under perform because of poor coaching and lack of inspiration. We've been there and done that far too often. Of course you need talent but a big salary can make good players comfortable and passive. The talent needs to be developed and the fires need to be stoked. Good coaches are capable of making less than stellar teams winners. We can only hope when it comes to the new regime. Of course, consistently good quarterbacking is a must. But that's another story.
  13. It's been a long, painful era. And for the Bills, given their history, it may not be over yet. Perhaps "shock therapy" will help.
  14. Can Brady's kid throw the ball?
  15. He'll be a star in the CFL as long as he stays out of jail.
  16. Give them a first as long as they throw in Belichick.
  17. You obviously missed the entire point of the message. I'm certainly not advocating for McCown but merely suggesting that if we choose to go with young quarterback prospects, a vet in camp would be helpful.
  18. For a change we need to get it right at quarterback. I think TT and EJ will be gone, which will help on the cap side. If we can shore up some things, such as safety, by free agency, and resign some key guys (not Goodwin, which will also help cap-wise), I'm not necessarily against drafting two quarterbacks to really increase our chances for success. Let the three young guys fight it out and perhaps even bring in a vet like McCown for camp purposes if nothing else. Drafting two is not unprecedented and worked for the Redskins (granted Griffin was a no brainer, but Cousins was considered a project and he certainly developed). Trade down a bit and obtain an extra second round pick. That will help. Yes, drafting QBs is always a gamble but let's consider increasing our odds at the "casino."
