You need early insurance. Bad idea to wait and see how the guys are doing. If he's available, find a QB even somewhat familiar with the system.

Darraugh was an interesting prospect coming out of William and Mary and undrafted. He was excellent for the Bills in camp and the pre-season, injured his shoulder, and became a footnote. He certainly shouldn't be considered as a bottom five guy as he never truly had the opportunity to prove himself. My bottom five favorite is Losman, a disaster as a quarterback and first round pick.

Yes, the NFL is a quarterback driven league. We haven't come close in that regard, including the opportunity to draft the likes of Russell Wilson and others. Also, what truly impacts on the quarterback position is the offensive line. We've neglected that as well. The opportunities to improve both positions have been there; where have we been? This season we can correct that, and we should. Keep moving up in the draft, including rooting for KC to lose.

This is much better than the fight they would have had on the field. Hasn't it been clear for years that Bills players collect paychecks, not wins? We need to bring in players with some fire, who truly want to win, and who don't continually draw harmful penalties (Hughes - who I do like because he's one of the few who shows he cares).

Of course he apologizes. You come off better when the league considers a suspension. Who really needs to apologize is the NFL for the failures to throw flags on Gilmore for interfering and holding throughout the game. The refs made those calls when he played for the Bills.
