If you go strictly by statistics, perhaps Jim Brown shouldn't be in the Hall since he only played nine years back in the era when guys like George Blanda were playing into their 40s. Davis belongs in the Hall.
Aside from the money, what makes us possibly attractive is all the high picks and some guarantee that we'll use at least one, or free agent money, on a stud receiver.
Cousins wants to play for a team that can win. That probably eliminates the Browns and some others. But we shouldn't break the bank for him. Bet Denver does.
Familiarity builds respect. McD would want to hire someone experienced he knows and respects rather than somebody inexperienced and/or problematic. Of course you can counter this with Rex Ryan hiring his brother and how much good that did. But there are always mistakes, such as hiring Rex in the first place.
Until we find a solid replacement for Mills, we're doing any new quarterback, especially one that's inexperienced, and/or not real mobile, and/or is injury prone a great disservice.
Sign Bradford or McCown and draft someone like Rudolph, White, or Lauletta. That way you don't throw away two number ones to move up since you have too many other holes to fix. If Taylor remains on this team it exemplifies that we're not making progress.
