  1. He'll learn much faster if he's playing. He appears to have a knack for both.
  2. The Browns' announcers couldn't stop praising TT (and every other Browns player) but went stone quiet when he continually missed open receivers, just as he did as a Bill. Mayfield showed he can play.
  3. His confidence and coolness is also more advanced than I expected. Early on, he's been quite impressive. The concern is that the offensive line has been offensive.
  4. They'll bring in a young guy to learn to system, then likely put him on the PS.
  5. Allen is so cool and confident out there. He's clearly in command.
  6. They were terrible. Why did everyone have to constantly hear that every player on the Browns' roster is wonderful? I loved it when they said the play was made "by number 86." No roster in front of them and they strictly do visuals? Kosar would've been better in the box than on the sidelines.
  7. Murphy appears like a lock.
  8. Allen plays cool and confident. Very impressed.
  9. Bills offensive line is offensive. Allen appears to have figured out how to deal with that.
  10. Based on last week's performance, Foster sort of scares me in the way McKelvin scared me, i.e. "where's the ball?" Plus, Foster has the "lazy" rep to live down.
  11. Nick Saban appears kind of robotic.
  12. No. And BTW, Steven A. Smith isn't compelling and wouldn't know it if it hit him in his "all knowing" face.
  13. He needs more than a big night. He needs to prove on a consistent basis that he wants it and will work for it.
  14. No take on Ray Ray, who appears to be able to play play?
  15. If EJ had command and control of a fighter jet it would wind up in a mountain.
  16. Need to see another TD celebration.
  17. Nope. But if it does happen, hope it's in our division.
  18. There are reasons he's still out there.
  19. Have a problem with Babe Ruth because he sounds like a girl?
  20. I expected Allen to come out like the raw rookie he is: nervous, shaky, hesitatant, and awed by the opportunity, especially being from a non-powerhouse school and conference. What we witnessed, however, was a cool headed leader, seemingly comfortable in the glare of many doubting fans and a media likely ready to pounce. He's still raw and obviously has a lot to learn. But based on what we witnessed, the skeptics should beware. There will be bumps ahead but the level of the bar has, hopefully, been raised considerably.
  21. Recent studies have shown that "headers" in soccer also can lead to long term physical problems. is that going to lead to helmets in soccer or banning of "headers?" There won't be consistent "helmet rule" calls in the NFL. It's going to lead to a lot more controversy and perhaps injuries of a different sort, such as neck sprains induced by contortions. Ridiculous call.
