  1. If you can get a third or fourth, go for it; Philly's desperate. Our OL can't create a seam, let alone a hole, for McCoy. So why not? Next years OL better be significantly better, but McCoy can lose his game by than, given his age and the hits he's taking this season.
  2. Let's sign Rae Carruth as well. I hear he's also available.
  3. Will your coat stand have weak arms?
  4. What the Bills need is a "rally cap" brim.
  5. If the Bills win, it's because the Pats are looking beyond them. Little else makes sense.
  6. There are CZARS and there are czars. The former are in total control, are experienced and successful, and know precisely what needs to be done. Exhibits: Belichik, Parcells, Lombardi. The latter may have total control but don't otherwise have all the other qualifications. When the Pegulas took over the franchise, they desperately needed the former. They still do. It's been trial and error from day one. Granted, finding and securing the right person isn't easy; they're few and far between. But you have to go after prime talent, pay it what it demands, and your chances of success rise exponentially. The perfect example of a team that's refused to do this is the Redskins. Dan Snyder has never released the reigns to anyone and it certainly shows during his tenure (the only GM he's ever had was an alcoholic and got fired). Certainly, having a czar (no caps) doesn't mean you'll be successful. Though the Pegulas are not of Snyder's mindset, they still need ongoing expert advice from someone with CZAR-like qualifications, who is committed to the franchise and paid accordingly. That's the step between CZAR and czar, since the former is hard to come by and the latter does, by no means, suggest success. If the Pegulas do have someone in the background functioning in that capacity, it may well be the wrong person. The right person will not have you constantly rebuilding to little or no avail.
  7. It's a difficult proposition.
  8. It's a necessary past time for one who cares. I wouldn't necessarily call it fun under the circumstances. In fact, at times it's like a bad dream. But optimism becomes a habit.
  9. The O line is easy to fix if you use some high picks, for a change, on stud linemen. The Bills have been adverse to doing that for a long time. And you have no way of knowing that McCarron was worse than Peterman. Peterman is hard to top as a negative.
  10. You left out the other part: 1) Doing nothing about the very offensive line unless you considered Newhouse a steal. 2) Trading McCarron before determining if Peterman could function in regular season games and thus being forced to start Allen and having him get injured behind that very offensive line. Should I continue?
  11. Luck helps. Any long time Bills and Sabres fan knows that.
  12. Is "The Sky is Falling" a new topic. Lest we forget, it's only a game. In that regard, however, betting on the Bills regularly does equate to getting scorched in Vegas.
  13. To fix the offense by year 3 they need an experienced, effective quarterback, significant offensive line replacements who are not mediocre at best, better receivers, better coaching, and some imaginative play calling. Good luck with that by next season.
  14. Other teams will be looking past us; the Pats will blast us. Our defense is like a balloon - keep hitting it and it finally blows up. And Belichik knows hitting.
  15. You're giving McDermott and Beane too much credit. Our continuing string of low priced coaches and GMs exemplifies the old adage "You get what you pay for."
  16. We already have a reputation that may never be undone.
  17. It can't get much worse with him in there, or can it?
  18. The Bills continue to excel at the bizarre. It's historic and almost hysterical.
