Yeah, the Rams got a Superbowl, but they are going to be in cap hell for years to come. They could have also easily lost the SB and all those moves would have been for naught.

Yes, they need more speed at CB, but who were they going to sign in FA that was going to get them that? They didn't have enough cap space for Jackson. They needed pash rush, they drafted 3 DE's in the first 2 rounds the last 2 years. They are trying to fill that hole. All those guys are super young. The experts so far have praised the signings so far as upgrades, I'm going to go with their opinions.

Everything he's saying has a negative spin on it even though we have no real holes, just areas we can upgrade (who doesn't?) The other teams are signing big names because they have cap space, mostly because of rookie QB contracts. But after all the signings so far, I still see the Bills at the top of Superbowl favorites list. So what does that tell you?

I'm not sure you can say that. They have limited cap room because they have a good roster. You need to chill and give it some time, its day 1.

KC got super complacent second half versus Cincy. They went up 21-3 and thought they could cruise to a win. KC played their absolute A game against the Bills and we still should have won.

They may have lost to the Rams, they were a good team, but it would have been close. We would have best the Bengals though, at home. We would have been 5-6 point favorites.

Beane and Co have put together, in many experts eyes, one of the deepest, most talented rosters in the league, with the best QB in the league, and they are, literally, SB favorites at some sports books. Sure, every team has holes and they are trying to fill them and improve the roster like everyone else. What more do you want from them? It's unrealistic.

I could see Miami lose to the Chargers.....never take anything for granted.

The knee-jerk overreactions on this board are hard to take. The truth is, we're 4-2, lost to two good teams, we're going to be 5-2 on Sunday and probably have a 2 game lead in the division. Miami is starting Tua, which in my option helps us a lot as Fitz is playing well, and NE is struggling. I think we beat the jets and pats next two games to go to 6-2 and everyone will make a 180 be happy again.

I think the tools available to analyze quarterbacks to see if they are going to be successful at the next level are much more advanced now than they were when Leaf and Boller were coming into the NFL. I haven't seen anything to convince me otherwise that Bean and McDermott put a ton of review and studying of Josh Allen to see if he would be able to be successful under the coaching staff. So I am going to believe that they know what they are doing. The GM/coaching staff has shown that it can make things happen, so why doubt them now? Allen may never develop, but it's not from a lack of trying on anyone's side. Also, there is no way McDermott or Bean are gone in the next 2 or 3 years. Even if Allen doesn't pan out, I don't think the Pegula's would fire them because of just that one decision. A lot of people had Allen high on their draft boards. There is always risk involved with these picks. You just have to regroup and keep at it. There have been so many positives in the last year and a half that barring an absolute meltdown, they will be here for I would say at least 5 more years, but I would say for a long while. This organization needs stability at the GM and coaching positions that it hasn't had in a long time.

Is it just me, or by looking at the playoff simulator, it's actually more probable we overtake the Titans for the 6th seed? They have a tougher schedule and we would have the tiebreaker if both teams finish 9-7 (conference record).

I was using the New York Times playoff simulator to see how the Bills could get in with a 9-7 record. It is actually very feasible. I have the Bills winning @ Chargers, home to Colts, home to Dolphins and @ Dolphins. That gives the Bills a 9-7 record, 3-3 division record and 7-5 conference record. When I put the outcomes of the other games, I didn't put anything unreasonable. For example, I have Baltimore beating the Browns, Colts, Cincy and one other team to get to 8-8. I have Miami losing to the Pats twice and I think they end up 7-9 or 8-8. I have Jacksonville winning the South and Tennessee getting the 5th seed. So Baltimore gets to 8 losses, Miami 8 losses, the Jets get to 8 losses, and then the only other team I would consider would be Oakland, and we have the tiebreaker on them, not to mention they play the Pats, Chiefs, Chargers. I think 9 wins will get us in in many cases.
