  1. That may have been it, I may have worded it a bit wrong. But either way, not something you want to say.
  2. So I was listening to the podcast and Dunne and McKenzie were talking about how you prepare for bad weather before the game. McKenzie didn't really have an answer, then asked Dunne what he thought. Dunne responded by saying "maybe run the ball more. Is it that simple?" McKenzie goes "No, because we can barely run the ball when its sunny out." WOW 😬
  3. We went through a worse slump mid-season last year and then we played amazing in the playoffs when it really mattered, I expect that to happen again.
  4. So you are saying we're basically losing in the first round of the playoffs?
  5. I mean, they didn't suck, and this Bills team is better than that Steelers team.
  6. I don't think you can be 10-3 and suck.
  7. Team is better than last year and we're the 1 seed. This doesn't change the outlook for the season.
  8. Defense is most definitely not worse than last year. Added Phillips, Settle, Jones, white is back, elam added, improvements from edmunds
  9. If anyone can work this contract out going forward, its Beane.
  10. We didn't have miller or white last year in the playoffs and we should have at least went to the AFCCG.
  11. This means even more that we need to win the SB this year. Use it as a rallying cry. We need to take advantage of this years team and possible 1 seed.
  12. There's no way you would no they don't make halftime adjustments. And of course they do. They may not always work, but they certainly communicate about what changes to make. I'll point out again multiple starters out and still 8th in points allowed and that ranking will improve after Sunday. As for Dorsey has been figured out, I mean, I disagree, but as long as they are score 30 points a game, a lot of good figuring him out is doing for other teams. Oh and Josh isn't 100%. Also I'm going to say it: the offense is going to look different come playoffs. Last couple years in playoffs is when we break out the designed QB runs, overall better play, etc. We lost to Jax last year, improved and figured things out, and then scored a TD on every play against NE in the playoffs and score 36 against KC. And our team this year is better than last.
  13. I see some posters say this about McDermott (that he's not a good game day coach) but rarely do they ever say what it is about his game day coaching or list examples from games which leads them to this conclusion. If they do bring up a reason (this isn't directed at you mrags) it is something to the tune of he didn't manage the 2 minute drill well, or used timeouts in dumb spots. While at times in previous seasons I did see this from time to time, overall his game day coaching has gotten better this year. Final 2 minutes of halves have been really good for the most part (see end of Baltimore, KC and Detroit games as examples). He is aggressive on 4th down decision and goes for it at the correct time almost all the time. I've watched every snap of every game this year and honestly I can't remember more than a few times, maybe, where I was like this was poorly done. Like yeah, there may be a few, but over the course of 11 games, show me a team that hasn't had a miscue or two. As for your points about the defense, I get what you are saying on some and it can be aggravating in the moment during the game. But here is my stance. McDermott knows this mainly zone scheme well and has implemented it over the last 6 years. It has been building into a more complex scheme as players get more accustomed to it (especially longer term players) and the results have been pretty good. We've been a top tier defense over 2020, 2021 and 2022. In 2022, they are 8th in scoring defense, 19th in yards allowed, 10th in sacks, 2nd in turnovers (this is also taking into account that many teams haven't played their 11th game yet). I don't usually want to point out the whole injury thing, but I think this year its valid to at least note that we have had several starters out for 1 or more games. All this, and the Bills have the hardest strength of schedule in the league as of now, and the highest strength of victory. Basically, I'm not going to go overboard if the defense minus some starters gives up some third and longs right now to decent offensive teams as long as we win the game. As long as we improve and get healthy, the defense will be fine. With our offense, the other team is going to need to score minimum 30 to beat us and I think our defense can hold any team under that.
  14. 100%, he cares more than any of us realize
  15. It may be from before the Cleveland win, but either way we won that game and won the detroit game so if we're not 1, we're close.
  16. I agree with this. These are the reasons I think you can make a reasonable argument that Bass missing the extra point on the Bills last TD actually helped the Bills. The Bills are now up 3 instead of 4 and the Lions are not in 4 down mode. They got into field goal range and had a 4th and 1 around the 35 or so of the Bills. If down 4, they are going for that and a pretty good chance the drive is continuing. There would probably be more urgency to conserve time as well. They played really conservative that last drive to the point where I was like, not only are they playing the FG, but they are playing scared and it caused them to have to go for a long field goal and leave 23 seconds on the clock with Bills having all 3 timeouts.
  17. Worst 8-3 team of all time? You mean the 2022 Bills that lead the league in point differential and have the highest strength of victory?
  18. I always like being aggressive, as I think overall, as long as you are well coached and execute, its going to give you more opportunities to score during the game. Really at the beginning of the game through maybe 2nd quarter or so, if its a close game, I like going for all 4th and shorts at around midfield or beyond. Especially if its something we can QB sneak to convert or a designed QB run. When we've played KC the last few times, I always like that the Bills go for it on fourth and short it they are at midfield or plus territory. They've done it the last couple times and sets the tone for the beginning of the game. As for going for 2, at this point its late 3rd and you may not score another TD, which in actuality we didn't, so we wouldn't really be able to make up that point. To me, the difference between being up 12 (not converting the 2 point try) and being up 13 (kicking the PAT) doesn't make much of a difference. They need 2 touchdowns whether they are down 12 or 13 (TD, 2 point conversion and FG is only 11). After that Bills drive, Cleveland opted to go for a FG that would have only got them to within 9 (still 2 score game) and the kick was blocked.
  19. To be fair, he has improved quite a bit from his first season to now in game day management. His 4th down decisions are almost always the right call, and he has shown better end of game situations this year, particularly the end of the Baltimore and KC games.
  20. then we'll beat them in arrowhead again, like we did the last 2 years, ya feel me?
  21. I wouldn't even say that, KC can lost 2 down the stretch
  22. Why even post this garbage?
  23. there are 7 games left, theres no way you can say they will go definitely go undefeated the rest of the way.
  24. Does anyone really see this team missing the playoffs? That would be absolutely inexcusable and major changes should be made if that happens.
