  1. The game is not even 15 minutes over and we're already saying stuff like this? Even if its true, enjoy the win for a bit, geez.
  2. I hate when people bring up past drafts and mention who we could have drafted at our spot instead of drafting whatever player we did that ended up being bad. Its in the past, and its something you have no control over. What's done is done. Being upset about past bad draft picks does nothing productive at all. The only thing you can do is learn from it and move on. But just bringing it up and saying "what if" just makes no sense to me.
  3. I totally agree with getting a lead early, preferably 2 scores, and forcing Lamar to throw to the sidelines. In planning for this game I would say, if this game looks like its gonna be a shootout, I would treat every drive like its 4 down territory, unless its an obvious punt or fg situation. That will help keep up with the Ravens, but it also gives the offense a more confident mindset that they have 4 downs to get a first instead of 3. You need to be aggressive and if this game is high scoring, we're probably going for a lot of 4th downs, unless we're really good on downs 1 - 3.
  4. Yeah, its definitely not the best matchup for us, but to win a SB you have to beat at least a couple really good teams. We can't just keep saying next year anymore. This is year 5 of us being just about SB calibre or SB calibre. This is the 3rd year in a row with a divisional game at home. Going 0-3 would look pretty bad. One of these years something has to give. I do like that we have an aggressive mindset now and I'm sure we'll continue that onward. Go for every 4th and 1, no matter where you are on the field - the sneak works like 95% of the time, its worth it. Throw on obvious running downs even when you are up a couple scores so you can maintain momentum and eat clock.
  5. The Ravens defense is better than it was in week 4, but so is our offense. I'm confident our offense can move the ball and score. If we need to score 33-35 points we can. The defense I'm not hugely confident in, but I do think it will do better than the first matchup because we are healthier and we're at home. Ideally we get up early like we did against Detroit, 10-14 points, and then match scores the rest of the way. At minimum, have the ball last down less than 7 with a chance to win at the end.
  6. I know a lot of people like the GDT and I sometimes read it after the game to see comments, but there is no way I would be able to participate in one during the game. First of all, during games I'm lazer focused on just the game, its just how I am for those 3 hours. I can't really do anything else. And I don't like reading or listening to any negativity during the game because I get more upset than I should and I have a hard time handling it. I've gotten way better about not overreacting to every play during games. I used to live and die by each TD, and it got to the point where it was just too much anxiety, especially about something you have no control over. I learned that its a 60 minute game and to let it play out. Sure I'm nervous but its not overboard.
  7. Yeah, probably not. I'm not saying it can't happen, but it's happened once in about 20 years. And this Broncos team is better coached than that Bills team.
  8. Yeah I don't know why everyone was so worried about Cincy. Denver was never going to lose this game.
  9. Do you think Denver is going to win or lose?
  10. Because you think they are going to lose. So either way you make out.
  11. Okay? So all of a sudden Denver is losing to KC backup players at home with playoffs on the line?
  12. Yes, I'm not sure what you mean by that though.
  13. Denver is losing to KC backups?
  14. The Bengals aren't going to make it. KC is resting starters next week and Denver is at home, they should have no reason to lose that game.
  15. No, but if our defense plays decent, 30 points should be enough to win, particularly against KC.
  16. I don't know why this year would be different than upcoming years. We're 12-3 and are scoring 30+ a game. I think our D has injuries and we've played good offenses lately, which makes the defense look worse than it actually is. It has been a top 10 unit most of the year. I think it will rise to the occasion in the playoffs and be pretty good to where if we score 27 - 30 points we'll win.
  17. Why are some people saying we may face the Bengals in the first round? The odds are very low that they make it in the playoffs. Not only do they have to beat Denver and Pitt the next two weeks, they have to hope Denver loses to KC week 18 (KC will probably rest starters for at least a portion of the game), in addition to Indy and Miami losing 1 of their next 2. Indy plays the Giants and Jax (probably the two worst teams in the league) and Miami plays Cleveland and the Jets. I would be shocked if Cincy gets in.
  18. We'll finish either 14-3 or 13-4, depending on if we beat Detroit. The Steelers will lose at least one more game since they have a tough final 4 games (@PHI, @BAL, KC, CIN). So we'll most likely finish as the 2 seed and play most likely Denver in the first round. Another thing to think about is that we don't want Baltimore to win the division because then we would play them round 2 as the 2-3 seed matchup. BAL is 2 games back of PIT right now and PIT has the tiebreaker, but if PIT loses their next 2, they'll be tied (not sure who has the tiebreaker at that point). If it came down to getting the 3 seed and playing PIT in the 2nd round at PIT or getting the 2 seed and playing BAL in the 2nd round at home, I'd think I'd rather play PIT at PIT.
  19. I like your attitude. I don't know why so many people are like, we need one more offseason to really finish off this roster for a real run. Why? We're 8-2 and when healthy this team can absolutely beat anyone in the playoffs. We almost beat KC last year in the playoffs and when everyone is healthy, this team is better than last year. So why can't we beat them now?
  20. We're 7-2 and its a transition year? What is going on here? We can be as good as anyone in a one game playoff.
  21. I said over and over that the turnover narrative with Allen was overblown. Some of it is luck, some of it is dropped passes into defenders hands, but his play isn't indicative of 22 turnovers. And now you are seeing that course correction with ZERO interceptions and 2 fumbles in 7 games. The zero interceptions is impressive. I know there were a few that were dropped, but that applies to every QB.
  22. I think McDermott is just saying that so that it doesn't give off the impression that Cooper is the savior of the season. That makes it seem like the players that are here don't matter as much. I'm fine with what he said.
  23. I know this is off topic from Cooper, but am I the only one that thinks Hollins has been decent? He has 2 TDs, he has draw a couple PI calls, is good at run blocking and ST. He has definitely made an impact at points in most of the games.
