It's poll time. The last poll that I conducted focused on Sean McDermott's approval rating through Week 14 of the NFL season. Shockingly, he received almost a 91% approval rating from the folks here at Two Bills Drive. Mind you, this was largely before the Miami victory. So now I'm starting a new poll. Let's face it, we get a large part of our news from the reporters who follow the Bills beat. Over time there are certain "go-to" reporters, others that occasionally give good info, and maybe even a few that you can't stand. So the question in - who is the best Bills reporter? For this poll, there's too many different reporters in television, radio, print/web for one poll. I know I'll probably leave someone out but what I want to do is to throw out the more well-known reporters and see who TBD favors the most. Keep in mind the different between a beat reporter that covers one area (i.e. The Bills) and a columnist or sports anchor who covers multiple topics or teams This poll will focus on just the beat reporters. Also I'm not counting any of the Bills bloggers, because while some provide excellent insight, they really aren't covering the team in person as a member of the media. As for my vote - this is a tough call. So many great choice to choose from. For me it's between Sal Maiorana, Sal Capaccio, Vic Carucci, and Joe Buscaglia. So for 2017, I am going to vote for Joe Buscaglia. I've really enjoyed his coverage and the podcast that he drops every Sunday after the Bills game. So waiting to hear - who are your favorites?

Taylor named the starter Vs. the Dolphins

Yep not rooting for the Bills to lose, but i don't have confidence in Tyrod -
Is there that big of a difference between DiMarco and Felton on the field? If the Bills never signed DiMarco and cut a few others, they could be looking at a 3rd round compensation pick.

I'm with you - we've tried hiring the "veteran offensive coordinator" and it hasn't done much good. We do need a younger coach that approaches offense differently and has new ideas. With that being said, I think Rob Chudzinski is probably a top candidate if a move is made. I'd actually like Dirk Koetter as well

Jets may finally be done with Mo Wilkerson

I'd sign him in a heartbeat but this type of behavior doesn't seem to fit in well with the type of players McDermott wants -
Ralph Wilson Quotes Himself While Firing John Butler

...or we could just starting gushing about great Ralph Wilson was an owner...especially from 2000-2014? -

Or I could just find a director who wanted to make a balanced film about his life without sugar-coating some of his well-documented mishaps with this franchise -
You know, I would too. I just don't think it happens - Terry has too much invested downtown to build at a location that far away. But we'll see

The Dunkirk Don Appreciation Thread
BuffaloRush replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems like Don is about as polarizing as Doug Whaley himself -
Didn't Dunkirk Don say that it was going to be in the Cobblestone district area in the city?

Not sure about you - but I really have enjoyed reading the work of Dunkirk Don. We don't know if he's legit and time will tell whether his news come to fruition but it's been fun reading and speculating on possible rumors. I give DD credit - he did call that Tyrod would start. Also props to the responses from some of you to Don's posts. Fredonia Fred had me laughing. All good stuff

Ralph Wilson Quotes Himself While Firing John Butler
BuffaloRush replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That wasn't the point of my post - I never said it was the wrong to fire Butler. But the way that Ralph publicly handled the press conference was a joke. In the history of the NFL how many other NFL owners quoted themselves? "That's me. I said that." LOL -
Ralph Wilson Quotes Himself While Firing John Butler

Lighten up dude. No one is being disparaged. That's like saying anytime you are critical of a US President's tenure, it's posthumously disparaging him. Give me a break. Just laughing a very funny and odd moment which makes you reflect on the many suspect decisions over the past 20 years or so -
Ralph Wilson Quotes Himself While Firing John Butler
BuffaloRush replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What's the point - because it was a funny moment that I wanted to share. Maybe you aren't aware but this is a Bills message board. People share information about the team - past and present -
I'm found an old video of Ralph WIlson announcing the firing of John Butler back in 2000. Wow talk about bizarre. Rather than just announcing the firing like most owners would do, he instead reads the press release out loud to a group of reporters word-for-word. But what is hilarious is that the press release actually contains a direct quote from Wilson himself. So as he read, he actually quotes himself. And when he reads the quote he says "That was me. I said that." LOL. I think toward the end here, Ralph was kind of losing it by giving these kind of press conferences. If you watch some of Ralph's other press conferences in later years, they aren't much better. Granted he was an 80 year old man, but these type of appearances don't really portray the Bulls in a good light. I also think, this is where the Bills started to get a negative reputation around the league. See for yourself.

Colts vs. Bills All-22 Film Review

Why? Because I dare criticize the great Eric Turner? Get real -
This was a solid parody

Whether he's legit or not, Dunkirk Don is my favorite member of Two Bills Drive. Always a good read. Keep up the great work Don - gotta get you on Twitter

I knew that the Bills defense was struggling in the turnover department but it wasn't until I counted that I realized how bad they struggled. Chew on this - the opportunistic Bills defense combined for 16 takeaways over the first 8 weeks of the seasons. Really that number is over a 5 game span, because they had no takeaways in Week 1 and Week 2. But in that span, they had 3 take aways or more in 5 out of 7 football games. Since the Thursday Night Meltdown against the Jets in Week 9, the Bills defense has managed just 3 takeaways in 6 games. Mind you, two of those takeaways were excellent plays by Tre'Davious White who seems to be the only real big time playmaker on the team. So that's 3 takeaways total in 6 games. If you take away the two excellent plays from White that's a grand total of ONE turnover over the past 6 weeks, which was "Razor" Ramon Humber's forced fumbled against New Orleans. So this again reinforces what a lot of us already knew - The Bills defense is really lacking playmakers (especially the front 7) and McDermott has done a fairly good job with the assortment of talent he's been given. Watching the Miami vs New England game now. If the Bills can beat Miami twice, they'll need to actually take the ball away.

Travaris Cadet for RB2 (update - dislocated ankle)
BuffaloRush replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know, Sal had a very good point on WGR. He said Tolbert should only be in on runs where he runs straight ahead. It seems like almost all of his carries are the same plays they call for Shady which are designed to let him bounce outside, or runs off tackle. Cadet is a much better fit for those types of runs.
