He’s drafting as though the order will stay as is it of 3/15. There’s going to be a lot of movement for th QB’s. Likely from the Bills. oh yeah. Bucky was one of the biggest 2nd round busts in Bills history.

I say we will not draft a QB round 1
BuffaloRush replied to mead107's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think more along these lines. We never would have traded Tyrod if the plan wasn’t to take a QB in round 1 -
Wait a second...What About Shaq Lawson????
BuffaloRush replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes but he can’t rush the passer. Like I said Capi Capi does a better job getting to the QB and is almost as good against the run -
There is definitely a resemblance though

Yep but watch the games Shaq plays. He doesn’t get to the QB much. -

Shaq cant pressure the QB. It’s a miracle he even had 4 sacks. He just has no pass rush ability. Cap Capi did a better job rushing the passer IMO -
Just putting this out there. It really makes me wonder if there is some relation between newly signed DE Trent Murphy and Bills announcer John Murphy. There is definitely a resemblance but IDK it could just be me.

I’m gonna say it.... Cap Capi > Shaq Lawson. Prove me wrong -

Who could get to the passer first? Shaq Lawson or Manny Lawson? We’d be waiting for answer for a really long time -

He was a first round draft pick. Nice to see the Bills draft players in the first round to be rotational players. AFWDP -
I see that the Bills have signed a guy named Trent Murphy. based on the big contract they gave him, it means that the former #1 draft pick Shaquille Lawson is probably not going to be playing much DE. It really makes me wonder why, he was the #1 pick overall and should be starting. Why was he ever drafted in the first place? I mean he was a 4-3 DE that was drafted in Rex Ryan’s 3-4, yet he can hardly play in the 4-3? WTF So so if we signed Trent Murphy to play DE from Washington then what happens with Shaq? Seeing that that he is classified as AFWDP (Another Failed Whaley Draft Pick) I really think the Bills are going to give him away for peanuts. Like a 6th or 7th round draft pick

Bills Have Released Anquan Boldin
BuffaloRush replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anquan sucked. He “retired” when he thought the Bills would suck and then tried to play for the Patriots. I was so pumped Beane didn’t give him his wish and release him. He didn’t deserve it. Good freakin riddance -
This is flawed thinking. If they weren’t certain that they couldn’t move up and get a QB they wanted, they never would make made the move to #12. They won’t stay there and take a LB. Not gonna happen

Sal says UFA QB's was not the Bills plan
BuffaloRush replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is exactly what I was saying. They were targeting a lower end FA QB the entire time -
Bradham - Resigned by the Eagles
BuffaloRush replied to Kwai San's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He could have worked in the defense for a few years but I think McDermott wants a younger, more athletic LB on a rookie contract. -
Sal talked about this in the morning. If he doesn’t pass the trade does not get voided. But both teams have to come to an agreement. For instance, Cincy might be ok with Cordy failing his physical in March if they believe he’ll be ready by June. Or the Bills might have to give Cincy additional compensation. But no the trade does not void

To everyone linking Bradford to the Bills. It seems to be all speculation. I never saw anything concrete. Also at this time of the year you never know what’s a smokescreen and what is not. Most NFL fans want to win now and as a Bills fans is logical to expect that the team can build off last season’s playoff success. But I am pretty sure the Bills themselves see things a little different. We’ve heard McDermott basically warn the fan base about inflated expectations. Like last season, the team will try its damndest to win. But I feel that if they do take a step back, they know that it’s part of the “process” to take major steps forward in 2019.

Why would AJ fight to get out of his contract in Cincy only to go to NE where he has no chance of starting. By the time Brady retires, his contract would be up

I, for one, am not at all surprised how things have turned out for FA QB’s so far. Nearly all of the bigger names are off the board and we are starting to see some second tier QB’s too. The Bills have not been seriously linked to any QB and have yet to reach an agreement with one, despite the huge need for a veteran QB. IMO this has been the plan the entire time. They have to feel extremely confident they can’t trade up and take either their top, or one of the top QB’s in th draft. Beane and McDermott always have the long term goal in mind. In a year when the Bills have a lot of dead money tied up in the cap, they aren’t going to spend $15-$20 on a QB for one or two seasons. They also aren’t going to go “all in” on any position that could negatively affect their cap situation in the future. They also aren’t going to trade anything substantial for Nick Foles. They acquired enough draft capital over the past year to move up and draft a rookie, while maintaining a semblance of a regular draft class. They won’t deviate from that plan to acquire a QB for 1 season. For that reason, I don’t think the plan was ever to sign one of the top QB’s on the FA market. I believe they plan on signing Matt Moore given his leadership, familiarity with the AFCE, and his past with Beane. The best case scenario is for him to start the year and turn it over to a rookie in the final weeks. It certainly does seem they are bracing for a potential setup in 2018, but if that’s what it takes to develop a franchise QB they are ok with it. Again, it’s all part of the “process.” With a QB in place, along with a few other spots, the Bills can then make a run in 2019 and 2020. If it’s not Moore I will be shocked, but I would think Derek Anderson would fit that bill as well. Then there’s always the trade for Tervor Simian. But I really think it’s Matt Moore.

Do you honestly think they moved up to notbtake a QB? It’s not going to happen
-
With Kyle and star staring and plugging the middle, what happens to Adolphus Washington? Does he go to the bench? It could he be converted to starting DE. There’s no way he could get less pressure than Shaq Lawson did at DE
