  1. I liked the Phillips selection but we have a lot of holes to fill on offense. That’s why I said, starting now is just offense
  2. Disagree with you on Sal. He’s probably the most enjoyable personality to listen to. Actually I like them all except Schoop and Bulldog (woof)
  3. So will Vegas. Allen and Darnold are the odds on favorites to start week 1
  4. Dallas Fort Worth? I saw him on the website. I just didn’t know how he was discovered
  5. Pinto Ron needs to announce the 4th round selection
  6. I’m saying. If Mike is saying the Bills made a really bad and overspent, and Sal says “no they didn’t overspend at all.” It’s seems logical for Mike to defend his opinion. Instead he says nothing and moves on. Defend you opinion
  7. Chuck would defend his opinion. Schopp just sits there and says "OK" and is scared to confront Sal
  8. At the risk of sounds dumb...who in the blue hell is Pancho Bill? I did see him on the Bills Twitter. Seems he is a fan that had cancer treatments, but how did the Bills discover him?
  9. Come one dude...it's the end of the draft tomorrow. We need more pop on offense. Our wide recievers are currently the worst in the NFL, our running backs are old, and the OL is weak. Plus we could use an upgrade at TE. Every position. We have too many holes to fill. I'm ok with BPA as long as it's BPAOO - Best Player Available On Offense.
  10. No...we don't. We have too many holes to fill on offense. RB, WR, OL, and yes TE too
  11. Except the fact that he seems to struggle to get his points out in mid-sentence. Also scared to disagree with Mike
  12. Too many holes to fill....need some offense
  13. Gotta be this guy: Keke Coutee
  14. There is a need at every position on offense in the draft. The Bills can't afford to draft any more defensive players. All offense from here on out.
  15. ...So what you are saying is that Chuck is the polar opposite of Mike Schopp?
  16. Mike will debate anyone who calls him....why won't he debate Sal when he has the chance? Ditto for Jeremy. Cowards
  17. Howard and Jeremy usually are good. I have a hard time listening to Schopp and Bulldog but will for the interviews
  18. When you argue that the Bills overspent in the draft and then your guest argues that they didn't - say something! Mike has no problem arguing his point with callers - but he won't dare stand up to Sal.
  19. Right - but what would rile up fans more than an on-air debate. Seems like it would be great radio. When the outspoken hosts like Jeremy or Mike have a chance to defend their opinion to a colleague on air, they back down Howard sounded depressed
  20. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000929261/article/2018-nfl-draft-debrief-winners-and-losers-from-round-1 "Buffalo Bills: The Bills traded out of their No. 10 overall pick a year ago, passing on the chance to draft Patrick Mahomes or Deshaun Watson in favor of amassing draft capital. This season, the Bills usedsignificant draft capital to trade up for quarterback Josh Allen (moving from 12th overall to seventh). The kids would call that hustling backward, especially when Allen has an uphill climb just to surpass previous Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor's level of production. Bills fans will point to this being the first draft for GM Brandon Beane, who was hired last May, but that only emphasizes how tricky it is to come up with a cohesive roster when the GM and coach are always in flux. Allen could prove his skeptics wrong, and his athleticism is unquestionable, but Josh Rosen has clearly displayed a more obvious NFL skill set. Allen is reminiscent of a souped-up version of another Bills first-round quarterback: J.P. Losman, a player with accuracy issues who was a star in the pre-draft season because of his measurables. Losman was taken 22nd overall in the 2004 NFL Draft and proceeded to compile a 10-23 record in Buffalo. Give Beane some credit for his conviction in Allen and talented all-around linebacker Tremaine Edmunds(taken by the Bills at No. 16 overall), who should be a tackle machine in coach Sean McDermott's system. I hope I'm wrong about Allen, because a happy Bills fan base makes for a better NFL."
  21. Like most of you I have been listening to nearly all of WGR's coverage on the Bills draft. It's been interesting hearing how strongly different personalities have expressed their views, but they seem to very timid to confront each other on-air. In fact, I can't really remember a time when there was an argument on-air at WGR like I can with other sports talk show. Case and point - all morning Jeremy White was whinging that the Bills overspent to trade up for Allen citing the "draft charts" as evidence. Later that morning, they bring Sal Capaccio on and Howard asked him point blank "did the Bills overspend," to which Sal emphatically responds "oh no" and then proceeds to respond why. Not one challenge from Howard or Jeremy. Then of course, after Sal hangs up, in a very condecending way Jeremy uses to Jimmy Johnson value chart explicitly say how the Bills overspent. Why didn't he just disagree with Sal? http://www.wgr550.com/media/audio-channel/04-27-howard-and-jeremy-show-hr-2 On an unrelated note - if you listen to hour 1, it's essentially Howard and Jeremy complaining about Josh Allen. When a fan on Twitter told Howard to "say it to his face," he went on a 5 minute rant trying to walk back his comments. Surprisingly, when Allen does an interview with Howard and Jeremy they act very nice and lob some softball questions. http://www.wgr550.com/media/audio-channel/04-27-newest-bills-qb-josh-allen-howard-and-jeremy Later that afternoon, it's Schopp and the Bulldog. Mike Schopp also rants about how he hated the Allen pick, why the Bills make dumb decisions, and again how they paid too much to trade up. Bulldog (who seems scared to disagree with Schopp on anything) argues that the Bills "spent like a drunken sailer." Mike then rants about the comments on Twitter and how that situations makes him not want to pull for Allen. Wouldn't you know it...Sal comes on the air. Again he talks about how he didn't think so. Then the whole Twitter story comes out. Sal does an excellent job explaining the situation and passionately shares why the tweets he made at 16 are not indicative of who he currently . Again, no response from Mike who previously said he didn't want to route for Allen because of the tweets. http://www.wgr550.com/media/audio-channel/4-27-schopp-and-bulldog-hour-2 My thing is - if you are an on-air personality and you disagree with someone don't sit there and say "OK"
  22. Yes I am extremely concerned about Culley. I just think he's a non-factor. Would feel much better if there was more of a QB guru there
  23. Sure but I get why fans feel the way they do. History is not on Allen’s side
  24. Haha well maybe over all. But as of today, no one divides the fan base than Allen
