  1. Wait.... you were fired for workplace misconduct too? Honestly everyone has had moments of poor judgement. It does seem in 2018, some people forget their own issues.
  2. Exactly.... not ready to accuse Russ about anything. I can say, I’m not disappointed he’s leavibgleaving
  3. I wanted Russ out because he really was the last link to Ralph, along with Overdorff. Remember, we don’t know if the allegations about workplace misconduct or sexual harassment are true. From the article, it sounded like they unconverted more information that they deemed a fireable offense. From everyone I’ve talked to that know him, Russ was a pretty good guy that got a bad rap from fans
  4. He does fumble words. Today he called Buffalo “a mid western city.” LOL Still I prefer Tasker to Donald any day
  5. The Bills are going to follow the blueprint of Ben Roesthlisberger as soon as Allen starts. He’ll have a limited number of passes and will rely heavily on a running game with play action throws. Big Ben threw under 300 passes in his first few seasons, almost half as much as he’d throw later in his career.
  6. Maybe... the difference is scheme. McDermott’s scheme is ideal for Johnson. Rex Ryan’s defense was not idea for NRC. There’s a big difference in his play in LA last year than in 2015 or 2016.
  7. Yes exactly. JAG is right. I though he play ok and had a few big hits but he didn’t really distinguish himself and never played at the level as NRC a few years. If you could sum up Leonard Johnson’s season in 1 play, it would be against the New York Jets. The Jets were driving and Leonard made a great read on McCown. The ball hit him in the hands perfectly and...he dropped it. I think the Jets only got a FG out of the drive, but an INT there could have been a pivotal moment in that game, early.
  8. To any old time fans, is the whole Josh Allen debacle similar or different to the most recent attempts at drafting a Bills QB in JP Losman and EJ Manuel. I was around for the JP Losman pick but obviously did not have Twitter and wasn’t on the Bills message board yet. So to any old time fans what was the reactions to Bills drafting JP Losman? Was it as polarizing as the Josh Allen pick and were fans and media as negative on it? I did follow the EJ Manuel selection. I remember people were really really hoping he’d be a good QB, but in the back of everyone’s mind we all knew he probably was going to suck. Despite this, I don’t recall many people in the media panning this pick at the time. This was right around the time when the “draft experts” were starting to gain popularity as well as the numerous drafting sites. It could have just been an issue of not having as much information - or the fact that the local media wasn’t as aggressive. Anyway, if you remember help me out...
  9. The board was fine the way it was. Too many message board divas whinging as usual. mods usually do a really good job here How can you possibly find anything when you have a 77 page thread?
  10. Merged too many threads into this monster thread. Won’t be able to find anything
  11. It makes me wonder whether Allen was truly #1...or if he was the adjusted #1, considering that Darnold would be off the board. Seems like Darnold would be their guy
  12. This was Vic Carucci's point as well. It's wasn't just Beane and McDermott there were several other teams and analysts that ranked him higher
  13. How do you feel about this - the idea floated out on Twitter is that the vitriol from White and Schopp on the Bills passing on Rosen is derived from the fact that Rosen shares the same political beliefs that they have expressed publicly. It makes sense - maybe that's part of it. I just don't think they believe he'll be any good on the football field Um no....but rather being a complicit puppy dog during the interview saying "I'm pumped" they could have you know....acted like journalists. Asked the tough questions? Hold the decision makers accountable. This happens in other markets and even right here at The Buffalo News. Here's some light reading for you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_journalism
  14. Did you hear the interview below: http://www.wgr550.com/media/audio-channel/04-30-bills-general-manager-brandon-beane-howard-and-jeremy Beane: How are you guys today? Howard; Well you know...pretty good. With the Sabres weekend, and you know, the draft and everything with you guys. Pretty happy Monday here, so I'm excited. Beane: What a minute, you said "pretty good." You mean not like you're really happy? Howard: Brandon I'm a talk show host, I always find a way to...uh...no, I'm delighted. I'm pumped. I'm very happy actually. Funny how tough Howard and Jeremy can talk about Beane...until they have a chance to speak with him directly. Beane knew that too and called their bluff.
  15. I think it's the way that Jeremy went about things. Look I think Doug Whaley was a bad GM. There are people here was passionately disagree. If I write 10 threads about why Doug Whaley was a bad GM people are just going to get annoyed, even if they agree with what I'm saying. Jeremy has been on a soapbox against Allen and for Rosen, and it's been annoying. I get that
  16. You are somewhat right about this. This is what's always bothered me about some Bills fans. They'll blindly accept anything. We could have signed EJ Manuel as the starting QB and some fans would be saying "let's give him a chance." LOL I agree with you on White - but like I said he's drawn a line in the sand about a number of issues in the NFL and NHL and has been wrong as of late. Just because he disagrees, doesn't make it true. Also he showed a lot of courage in the interview with Beane today - did he not?
  17. This is quite possibly one of the funniest things I've read on Twitter. Since Thursday night, Jeremy White has been going off on the Bills for selecting Josh Allen both on the airwaves and especially on Twitter. He literally has been retweeting every single negative new article about Josh Allen - this is no joke. Yet as I pointed out, when he's had to chance to hold the guy accountable for making the decision (Brandon Beane) or the QB that he's been complaining about (Josh Allen) - he's very polite and says nothing. Anyway, some Bills fans have taken to Twitter and accused him of running a Josh Allen smear campaign. This is pretty funny to me. While it does seem like he's on a crusade to prove that Allen was a bad choice, in the process he does bring up some good points. I actually like Jeremy's takes most of the time but I feel that he went way overboard. Also, it's important to point out that Jeremy has been very wrong about a lot of things he's been outspoken against the past year - including the Sabres tanking, Doug Marrone and the Jags, The Las Vegas Golden Knights etc. Just because he hates the pick, doesn't mean he's right. Also I'm glad to hear him share an opposing view on the Bills "flagship station," and appreciate him vocalizing the complaining on the air. It would suck if all of WGR was an sterile as The John Murphy Show. So with that being said, I don't think he's trying to turn the fans against Allen or running any kind of smear campaign. I think he really hates the pick and feels that Rosen is the better QB. I also think Bills fans can be overly defensive to any criticism, no matter how sound the argument is. However, I do find some of the responses to the tweet below on Twitter to be pretty funny. Here are some of the highlights from Twitter:
  18. Good move. Best Bills related podcast out there
  19. Dont let St. Doug Whaley off the hook either. He added to the mess and never made a serious attempt to clean it up You are forgetting that Peterman is a McDermott guy. I don’t think there’s much of a Chance that he gets cut. Though, if they name Allen the starter for Week 1 there’s a chance it might happen.
  20. I feel like no one listens to Rich The Bull Genzler but he does bring on “The Godfather” If Buffalo Sports Radio Vic Carucci from time to time. Here he drops knowledge and defends the Bills for drafting Josh Allen. His main point is - let the pros do their job. The Bills thought Josh Allen was the better fit. Most fans and “experts” who were critical on social media really don’t know much about football. To which Genzler was like “thank you...thank you.” LOL 12 minute segment - the part I reference starts around 1:00 http://stationcaster.com/stations/wgrf/media/mp3/Vic_Carucci-1525094720.mp3
  21. Great example here of how Howard backed down: Brandon starts he interview with Howard and and asks how they are doing. When he responds “pretty good,” Beane says “just pretty good?” giving Howard the chance to complain to his face about the pick as he did Friday morning. Of course, Howard responds by saying “I’m pumped” LOL he didn’t sound so pumped the morning after the draft. I love Howard but man, the morning crew came off pretty weak here.
  22. 3 out 4 ain’t bad!
  23. Now is the time to buy a jersey. You’re almost guaranteed to have for at least 4 seasons.
  24. Yeah not a fan of Bulldog. He is tough to listen to and struggles to finish his thoughts
