Which Bills Decision Infuriated You?

Yeah I don’t doubt it Again though with Rob, I don’t think fans were infuriated with the move. We just hoped he’d help Rex get back on track -
Which Bills Decision Infuriated You?
BuffaloRush replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Many great choice in this thread. The thing I’m wondering though, is how many of these situations were you infuriated with at the time, as opposed to in hindsight. Because it seems like a few of these selections are looking back in hindsight. Case and point, the Rex Ryan hire. Looking back I am infuriated that they were duped by that clown show. But at the time, the majority of the fan base was pretty excited. -
Which Bills Decision Infuriated You?
BuffaloRush replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These are great points. I remember people actually defending the move for “continuity.” That drove me crazy -
As a Bills fans there’s many decisions that likely have made you pull out your hair, or slam your fist down in anger....or at least shake your head. With the Josh Allen over Josh Rosen debate fresh on our minds, this is thread is dedicated to those times when the Bills have disappointed you with a key decision. Heres a few from me and most have to do with coaches. I remember really being sketical when Ralph Wilson made a statement by firing Tom Donahue, only to bring Marv on board as GM. But like many, I said I’d give it a chance. Then they hired Dick Jauron as HC. I remember complaining on the BBMB that Ralph was being a “cheapskate” with his hires. Of course I got banned from a mod named “nuebs”. I remember reading the old emails a few months ago. Again I was really mad a few years later for almost the same reason. Buddy Nix was named GM and again there was a coaching vacancy. Names like Shannahan and Cowher were tossed around. And then I was sitting in an auto shop getting my car fixed and a bunch of salesman were talking. I heard one of them say “they are saying the Bills will hire Chan Gailey” who at the time was out of football. It was almost like in Star Trek, but instead of saying “Kahhhhhhhhhhhn,” I dropped to my knees and said “Nooooooooooooooo.” In the end, I think things could have worked out with Chan if a few things were different. Those are my choices - let’s hear your’s......

JALEN RAMSEYCLOWNS BILLS QB JOSH ALLEN... DELETES
BuffaloRush replied to TucsonBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eh... looks like Jalen erred on the side of caution. There’s worse things he could have said, but still probably smarter to delete it -
Don’t you think though that the negativity around Allen has changed a bit? While there are still some very vocal detractors, it seems like the majority of that group from draft night has gone from pessimistic to cautiously optimistic. I agree with you on all the Personnel moves. I think there was concern to if Darby “bought in” to the defense or if he could play zone coverage. I think the Watkins move was all about getting value for a player that they weren’t going to give a huge deal to. Dareus and Corey were all about getting out from lopsided contracts and establishing a better cap situation. Yes we didn’t get nearly enough value for Dareus but fans forget, the contract was so disgusting no one thought the Bills could actually trade him. All of these moves make complete sense and I am very excited for the future

It probably doesn't look good for a moderator to be arguing on an unrelated issue on a thread. If this was anyone else, the thread would be closed by now for not "positively contributing to the community" I will take my concerns to SDS Good call... Look, I feel pretty sill arguing about a message board so I will be good with whatever is best. Either way the bottom line is TSW is an awesome community for us Bills fan. While we may disagree on trivial things like threads I'm glad to have the experience to chat with other Bills fans here.

LOL clever working, but oddly none of them follow your obtuse thread merging rule. Thanks for proving my point We're never going to win this argument. We will probably need to contact SDS Yeah there's a couple like you and Shady. It seems like the majority of people in this thread agree with my view

Back in May 2017, who would have guessed that by Week 1, the Bills would part with Sammy Watkins, Ron Darby, Reggie Ragland, and Johnathan Williams(who was penciled in at RB2), among other players that we figured had a roster spot? One thing is for sure - the Beane-McDermott admininstration is not afraid to make a tough and unpopular decisions with the fan base. So make your predictions here. Who in this roster do you feel might be a candidate for a surprise cut or a surprise trade. Here are a few thoughts: Shaq Lawson - This is a huge year for Shaq. After signing Trent Murphy to a pretty big deal, Shaq is going to have to perform well to get regular snaps at DE. While he is expected to be part of the Bills D-line rotation, it's clear that McDermott has some questions as to whether he can be a starting DE. I do feel that this coaching staff will give Shaq every chance to succeed, but this a huge year for him. He's in the 3rd year of a rookie deal, and just like Reggie Ragland, if he gets buried on the depth chart I can see the Bills moving on his for a mid-round draft pick. He'll be competing with Eddie Yarborough and Tenny Palepoi for spots, so nothing is a given. Ryan Groy - He is in the final year of a 2 year $5,000,000 deal. The Bills have him listed at guard and I know some are penciling him in at a starting guard spot. However the coaching staff seemed very reluctant to use Groy at Guard when Richie Incognito was injured. Is this a telling sign that they don't want him playing guard? Or that they prefer him at Center? Either way, with Wyatt Teller, Vlad Ducasse, and Jon Miller, there is definitely competition at that position. The team also signed Russell Bodine for essentially the same money as Groy. The difference is more money is guaranteed for Bodine, essentially making Groy more of a candidate for release. Jon Miller - in a situation similar to both Groy and Lawson. There's a lot of competition at guard and Mller easily could find himself as the odd man out. Like Shaq, I think coaches will give him every chance to succeed under a new offensive system. But if he's 3rd on the depth chart, I see the Bills looking to trade him for a very low round draft pick. Did I mention he was a Doug Whaley draft pick? Not many of Whaley's guys are left around. Adolphus Washington - Another Doug Whaley guy who will be competing for time on the defensive. Like Lawson and Miller, I think there's a good chance he could be gone his falls too far on the depth chart. I don't feel that the trade market will be as strong for Washington so perhaps that one reason why he could stay. Andre Holmes- Holmes made some modest contributions on offense and special teams last year, which makes him a valuable member of a very thin WR class. But you'll notice that the Bills WR Roster is pretty stacked in terms of numbers. For Holmes to get a roster spot he will have to contend with vets like Jeremy Kerley and Rod Streeter, as well as younger players like Kaelin Clay, Brandon Reilly, and rookies Austin Proehl and Ray Ray Morton. Special teams ability should be an advantage for Davis, but is that enough for him to stay? It should be interesting. Other potential candidates, though I feel these are less likely: Jordan Mills (Does Connor McDermott make him expendable?) Tavares Cadet (Watch for Marcus Murphy and Taiwan Jones) Ramon Humber (Can Tanner Valejo Step up?) Patrick DiMarco (Will Daboll utilize the FB in his offense?) Vlad Duccasse (Lots of compeition at OG) Logan Thomas (Huge year for Logan) So who are your top choices?

Ridiculous.... imagine if news sites were like this? Again, most of use come here to find Bills related content. In most circumstance we don’t know what we want to read until we read the titles. I don’t come here thinking “I want to read to read about Josh Allen” or “I wonder what’s new with Shady?” We read what we find to be interesting. IMO I would agree that it’s ruing the experience here. I’m not against thread mergers when they make logical sense. But IMO I don’t see the Joe B article fitting into the huge long Josh Allen thread. It makes no sense. There’s a clear division here between members that want one huge long thread and others who want individual threads. TSW Is a great place and I really enjoy my time here. I’m hoping that the mods can come to agreement we can all live with @SDS

Saints lose Ingram 4 games due to PED
BuffaloRush replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This thread could have been listed under the thread “NFL” -
This is ridiculous. How can you find content if you don’t know what to search for? For instance I clicked on the article because I thought the title sounded interesting. I came here to look for subjects that are interesting.... I didn’t come here to search for Josh Allen, so I never would have found this thread. The mods here are pretty cool and generally do a very good job. I hope they side with logic, as opposed to giving into the preferences of some long time members
