Can’t say I’ve ever heard of him but RIP -
Sad day. Tim Graham out at Buffalo News
BuffaloRush replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Too bad I think Tim is an exceptional writer. I get why people don’t like on Twitter, but in his defense most of his rude tweets are in response to followers who either are trolling him or sending him harassing comments. He rarely goes after someone who didn’t come at him first. it doesn’t change the fact that he’s written some very stories and is highly regarded locally as one of the most well-informed sources in WNY IMO I don’t think of this has to do with th Bennett tweet. I think it’s all about cutting payroll to become more profitable next fiscal year. -
What If Rex Never Was Hired & Schwartz was The HC ?
BuffaloRush replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These sort of “butterfly effect” questions are always tough to answer because there are so many variables. Lets say everything is the same with Marrone leaving, Whaley staying as GM, and Schwartz as HC. I do believe that the Bills would have a top defense. Maybe not as high as they ranked in 2014 but still a top 10 unit. Offensively you have a lot of questions. Remember Orton retired at the end of the season. There would be a huge hole at QB, because it’s certain EJ was not th answer. If Rex wasn’t HC, there’s no guarantee that they sign Tyrod. We could be looking at a completely different QB - who knows who that QB would be. Whaley seemed to heavily invested in EJ - even in 2014. Can you really see EJ or Matt Cassell winning 9 or 10 games? Second, we’d also be looking at a completely different offense. A lot would depend on what Schwartz did as OC. Third, there’s no guarantee that Buffalo still makes the trade for Shady. Maybe Schwartz saw Kiko as a key component of his defense and didn’t want to make th deal. We don’t know. All in all, I think it’s possible that if Schwartz had a decent plan on offense, we might have seen playoffs a year or two earlier. Still with no long term at QB, I still think they’d be average to slightly above average -

TBD members - Watkins Glen Lunch TODAY

Too far for me but maybe we can do something in WNY -
At the start of each off-season, there’s always expectations from the fan base for players. Sometimes those expectations are set low for players coming off a bad year, and it’s a pleasant surprise to see improvement. Today’s poll.... which member of the Bills do see as the “comeback” player of next season? I’m looking for the name of a player who had a disappointing or so-so season in 2017, and has the potential to break out in 2018.

Howard Simon Tries To Do 1 Pull Up For Charity
BuffaloRush replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From the looks of some of these replies, it seems like members of TSW of this forum are some of the most in-shape members of any message board ever. I’d say there’s some embellishments with the number of chin-ups some are boasting here. It certainly would be interesting to Periscope it out. People like me are honest.... I’d probably get about 3/4 to 1/2 way up. Chin ups are tough -
Howard Simon Tries To Do 1 Pull Up For Charity

I could have sworn he lost a bunch of weight with Jenny Craig a few years ago -

Howard Simon Tries To Do 1 Pull Up For Charity
BuffaloRush replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have you tried? It’s really hard. Also it’s a pull-up and not a chin up where you bring your grip on. A wide arm pull-up is ridiculously tough -
A very funny bit this week between Howard and Jeremy. When talking NHL combine, Howard claimed he could do 3 pull-ups. Jeremy said now way, so they raised money for charity and he attempted to do 1. The result is pretty funny. Pull-ups are really tough especially when you are carrying a few extra LB’s. Ironically many people on Twitter were joking about Howard’s “dad shoes.” Nike Air Monarchs I guess. Question is....how many pull-ups could you do? I might be able to do 1.... but probably more like 1/2. Anyway enjoy....

It appears that WGR is ditching its app in favor of Radio.com (CBS). From what I’ve seen, it looks like everything is there from the old WGR but I can’t say I like the new layout. I’ve always like the original app.

05-25 John Clayton on Schopp and Bulldog http://www.wgr550.com/media/podcast/schopp-and-bulldog So I guess John Clayton is coming to Buffalo for a Fatasy Football convention this summer. He was on Schopp and Bulldog to promote it a bit but did talk some Bills. Of course, they asked when the Bills should play Allen. John said they should follow KC’s lead and start him in December like Mahomes did - when he played a meaningless game in Week 17. Surprisingly he was down on Chicago starting Trubisky in Week 5 and felt it was too early. This comment kind of made me scratch my head because many others have said you need to get him on the field sooner. Obviously not the first week but at some point before Week 17. The other difference is that the Bills might not have a QB on the roster that can perform like an Alex Smith who had one of his best seasons statiscally in 2017. So the gab between McCarron and Allen might not be as large. Im going to guess that Allen starts in Week 10 Of the season which would be November. Still I think Clayton is off on this one

A little bit with the Red Sox. At one time, Sox fans were a lot like Bills. Even though I was a Yankee fan, I could relate. But once they won a few championships (actually after 2004) they all became super cocky just like Patriot fans. Now I cheer against them. I kind of like the Celtics and I could care less about the Bruins

Surprise Candidates For Starting WR Spots
BuffaloRush replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Zay is going to miss time in the preseason. At least some of it. Joe’s point was that missing part of the preseason was hard on Sammy and there’s a good chance it could affect Jones. You might be right about OTA’s. Doesn’t take away from the fact that Dupre looked good out there -
Which Bills Moments Legitimately Made You Cry?
BuffaloRush replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice to hear it was a happy cry for you. I listened to WGR the next morning and it sounded like a funeral. I think many years were she’s by Bills fans - and they weren’t happy!
