  1. I went back and read some of the training camp over the past 3 years or so. It took me to the crazy 2016 camp which featured an alleged argument between Rex, Doug and Russ. The Arrival of The Dude Rob Ryan. Vic Carucci’s playoff ultimatum rumor (which appears to have been true). “Winning the off season.” And so much more. It made me take a second to think of Rex. Man, did Rex do some major damage in his stint with Buffalo. When he was hired in 2014, Rex was regarded as a “defensive mastermind” who routinely produced top ranked defenses. He was lauded as a good coach who got burned by ineffective GM’s who gave him subpar talent rosters and underachieving QB’s who never panned out. Despite this, Rex did the best he could with a limited roster and his teams always played hard for him. Some even considered Rex to one of the best coaches in the NFL, at worst he was thought of favorably in most circles. Fast forward to 3 years later and Rex was a laughing stock. He was a “clown show” who’s defense seemed antiquated, too complex, and not effective in the modern NFL. His reputation as a defensive guru vanished. In the two years since he’s been out of the NFL, I can’t remember anyone link him as a candidate for a job. So do you think that it’s over for Rex Ryan? Is it possible that he will charm his way back on the sidelines in the NFL citing his successes a decade ago and making excuses for his failures? Yes Rex has a sweet job at ESPN, but you can’t tell me he doesn’t want another shot at coaching. It’s been part of his life for such a long time, you don’t just shut that off. IMO I can’t see Rex coaching in the NFL. I think his reputation is too damaged for anyone to trust him as HC. Honestly, it wouldn’t surprised me to see someone try to hire him as a DC but I do think organizations are conscious of the “clown show” element he would bring. Also, would his ego allow him to go back to being a DC or position coach? The only way I see Rex coaching again is at the college level. I can definitely see him as a HC and given his personality, I think that might be his best bet to recoup his career. Maybe then after a few years of success he can get back to the NFL. What do you think???
  2. He can play OLB too
  3. Right but numbers don’t lie. Defense caught up to him and he was never able to recapture what he had that year. He looked like a different QB in Buffalo
  4. Well yeah, talent wise he should be good enough for a roster spot but he’s not anywhere near Top 10. I saw him when San Fran played in Buffalo the last time. He looked fightningly average. But he drew a line in the sand on a hot button issue and brings the potential of some devise PR with him. I don’t think owners are willing to take that risk for an average QB.
  5. Well most QB’s in NFL are white to begin with. Calling Kap a Top 10 QB is borderline delusional
  6. “He gotta do what he gotta do”
  7. Funny because McDermott’s comments last year would lead you to believe the opposite. I am sure that internally it was decided that it was in the org’s best interest to keep camp in Rochester
  8. I texted Jalen...his exact comment: “he trash”
  9. Sorry I must have missed it in the other 50 pages. It’s better off as it’s topic anyway
  10. Watching Season 1 Of Hard Knocks and Gregg “The Mouth That Roared” Williams is trying to give a motivational speech which was hilarious. First off, Gregg has gained some weight, died his hair, and now looks nearly unrecognizable from how he looked in Buffalo. Yet in this meeting Gregg likely stretched the truth to try to pump up his team. He said how bad people want to be in Cleveland and said “I turned down 7 offers to be here.” LOL what kind of offers? If you remember Greggy was fired after the 2016 season. His organization always drafted well but his D was mediocre at best. Funny how when Wade took over a year later, they improved quite a bit more. Anyway, I’m calling BS on his boast that he was in high demand. He came to an 0-16 team because they offered him a job. This guy is something else.
  11. Jalen comes off as a really smart guy. Seriously the level of this guys IQ is off th charts. LOL
  12. Very clever marketing. I love this idea
  13. Yes! They should sign former UB QB Joe Licata to play in Game 4. Would love to see what he can still do
  14. I believe it was Tim Graham who said the Bills had no interest in Chad for those same reasons. Bucky Brooks = one of the worst draft picks in Bills history
  15. Bucky knows a thing or two about a “draft miss”
  16. You are taking some pretty desperate measures to justify an unproven QB coach. I don’t follow the NFL close enough to start listing off QB coaching candidates, but I think as a fan it’s reasonable to want a QB coach that actually has a track record coaching QB’s not WR’s. As I said, McDermott must have a lot confidence in Culley as there’s a lot riding on his hire. I’m just saying as a fan, I would prefer a QB Coach with more experience.
  17. Um yeah....someone with actual experience coaching QB’s. The whole “Buffalo can’t get any coaching candidates” narrative is so 2007 and flat out wrong in 2018. Also, this is the NFL. It’s not like coaches post the positions on Indeed.com and review resumes. The use their connections to solicit candidates that might be a good fit and available. Culley was hired because McDermott felt he was the right guy. The jury is very much out of him - we shall see. Its silly and to make any judgements on QB’s in the preseason and training camp. You can’t use training camp as any indication on Culley’s performance. If you want to use that criteria, he holds some degree of responsibility for Peterman’s disasterous debut
  18. Hmmmm.... think about it. Why would you start a civil trial BEFORE the criminal investigation is complete?
  19. Cant read it... can you copy and paste or summarize the most salient points?
  20. I guess you can debate how much impact a QB Coach has on the talent, but sometimes I wish the Bills hired a coach with a better track record for developing QB’s or an upcoming coach with potential. The vast majority of Culley’s experience has been as a WR coach and he is a veteran who is respected around NFL circles. Still he has no experience developing QB’s. I guess Beane and McDermott are comfortable with him though. Their jobs are on the line and they trust him to coach up the franchise QB
  21. This is a great foundation. Hope a lot of Bills fans support this cause.
  22. Looks like they will both be fine.
  23. I’ve always liked Chad. Really thought the Bills should have taken him, though according to some people in the media playing in Buffalo would’ve been a huge distraction for Chad who had some odd-the-field issues. He’d have access to the same crowd and places that he ran into trouble. Seems like he needed a fresh start
