Then you must be going to games on full moons, my experiences have never been anything other than standard stadium fare. Ill accept hockey stadiums, baseball doesn’t count. It’s just not the same crowd. You ever hear the old adage, you go lookin’ for trouble you might just find it? I feel like that’s what I’m dealing with here. That and a little bit of Buffalo self loathing sprinkled in.

In my original post I stated I go to other stadiums and it’s seems the same to me. The only stadium/arenas I ever had a problem in was at Baltimore Ravens and Washington Caps games. Ravens have a city stadium, so you can only tailgate like we do in a limited space. Most people have to go to bars in the city (which most think is ideal) funny thing is that’s the only stadium I ever had someone full on try to fight me. He was like 50 and in the end the Ravens fans around me ended it quickly but funny enough all those years in Buffalo, nothing. One game in Baltimore... Now what other stadium experiences do you have to share? Please regale us with stories of perfectly civil fan experiences!

Cool. Spoken like a true creepazoid with zero perspective. So, out of towners that pay extra to come to a game safely and support our favorite football team are “morons” and “idiots”?

I go to about three games a year on average for about 15 years now. Last year I was in the bus lot twice. I don’t know where all of this stuff is happening. I sure do hear about it, but I rarely see anything. I saw ONE table incident a few years ago. From all accounts you’d think 30k strong do it in unison. Sure, you get the occasional knucklehead, that’s standard at a football game with 80 thousand people. Ive been to other stadiums and it’s pretty much on par outside of the stadiums that are located in the middle of the city. I haven’t seen this insanity everyone is talking about. At this point it seems more urban urban legend than reality. What’s worse is it’s our own fans too afraid to see for themselves slandering the most.

They don’t prepare anything for players after the first two rounds. No videos, good info, etc. They just have the guys say generic cliches if they heard of the player before. I feel like when it wasn’t prime time they didn’t give up on players til really late, like 6 or 7. Now that its prime time it’s just a garbage gossip show like everything on nfl net and espn these days. I used to be addicted to football tv, now if I eve hear it I get sick to my stomach. Crummy opinion chatter from the uninformed.

I just told someone yesterday that we’re winning ten games on that schedule. Of course that was met with a groan and an eye roll. This is probably the most excited I’ve been as a Bills fan since TO was signed. Of course that lasted like a month or two. This excitement feels sustainable. I’m not your average fan though, I’ve never been afraid to wear my fandom on my sleeve. I notice too many conditions for a lot of fans “I’ll be excited when...”, “i’d Like to see how _____ goes first”, etc... It’s football, if this is how timid people act when they’re choosing to get excited for their favorite teams football season how do they act when real life happens?

People are upset with the idea that its a bit of a reach, but according to whom? Bills could've had him as their 2nd or 3rd best. Two fourths for a guy that could be our answer at tight end is peanuts. At this point we have so many people on this roster I'm fine spending two picks on a guy we really want than taking two players that probably won't even make the practice squad.

I don’t think it’s an issue of mattering. I think there’s something up with the guy but it’s not like I can’t sleep at night over it. Its a message board during the off-season, what’s left to say? During the football season we discuss the most interesting/entertaining topics of the day/week. Unfortunately Icebowls schtick may have been the most interesting thing going on that day. More of a killing time issue than a visiting message boarder. I didn’t call him names or anything. If it’s against the rules let me know. I’ll stop.

You’re not restricted to what you can post at games. Are you going this year, maybe we can meet up and finish this conversation. You can articulate exactly what “ethics” you’d like me to adopt, and I’ll counter like a reasonable adult. Or you can continue telling me how I should live and we can start delving into where your life stands in contrast to my own. I wonder how quick you’d be to insult me in person? I’d also love to know where this strong moral code has gotten you in life.

No, it’s just odd. I get if you want to stop by and chat about a matchup but why come and drop tmz he said she said style articles about the Packers qb? I wouldn’t read that anywhere, least of all on a message board for Bills fans. Also, this golly oh gosh, oh gee, only works for so long. It becomes a little much, especially since you do it with our rivals on the dolphins board as well. Not sure what the angle is.

I was super concerned with the whole Packers-Rodgers debacle so naturally I stopped into the Buffalo Bills message board and entered a thread titled “A message to Bill fans” couldn’t have been any happier with the result.

I really don’t think the poll was a big deal. It’s fan bases voting for themselves. It’s like voting you’re the best kisser in your school. Kinda silly. But the bot thing? That’s flat gross. Seriously they should be ashamed.
