Kaepernick's Agents Announce Tryout (edited title)
Bobby Hooks replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
so again, someone refuses to answer the question. because they know the answer. the only question of that week, wont be will the (insert team name here) beat the (insert team name here), it will be, did Kaep kneel?! regardless of what side you're on, it has nothing to do with the game, and is 100% a distraction. fair or not, it's the way of things. because the media WILL find a way to get us this completely important (sarcasm) information. who would willingly put their team through that? "listen guys, from this moment no one will care what you do, even if you win the super bowl. the only question s or comments week in or week out will surround our backup qb whom may or may not be able to even play anymore. cool?" -

that's not a Buffalo problem that's a humanity problem. if you really want to debate the topic at hand please answer my one question. the only question that matters. if a team takes a chance on Kaep can you guarantee that the national anthem isn't appointed 'must see tv'? I guarantee it will be the biggest NFL moment all month. that's not good for anyone. it's a reality tv circus, and no team needs that. least of all the Bills. -

that's completely silly. becoming the national spotlight for all the wrong reasons is the exact opposite thing the Bills would do. Pats on the other hand. they should be gifted the statue of liberty. ""Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore." -

well, if you're looking for a dance partner... i have only one question and it's the only one that matters. if a team takes a chance on Kaep can you guarantee that the national anthem isn't appointed 'must see tv'? I guarantee it will be the biggest NFL moment all month. that's not good for anyone. it's a reality tv circus, and we don't need it. -

It's comments like these that keep the ridiculous debate raging. It's not what he did and it's the only thing that will be taken from your post making it impossible to have a decent discussion. Thanks for all you do! case in point... and the dance continues. silly. gobbled up the bait like a good little bunny. -

Did you even read the post? He said the media shoved it down our throats, which is 100% true. The opening of the game became bigger than the games he was in. Is it fair, not really, but it's an unfortunate side effect of having Kaep anywhere near your team. To ignore the circus is not being honest in the argument. -
Kelly, my darlin', you are my sunshine. When we're together, I feel fine. Your smile is so lovely, your hair is so clean. You make me feel the whole world is mine. Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, K-E-L-L-Y. Why? Because you're Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly of mine. Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine.

So... you got the joke? Or...erm... thank you? Do i get a plaque or badge or anything? You may be completely shocked to hear that people that opened this thread had no idea you posted in it before entering. It's probably fair to say your list didn't draw anyone seeing as how you would have already clicked and started reading to know you posted. I'm just saying i've noticed a trend in your posting and there are a lot of "my", "I", etc... Not too big a deal, just saying you might want to keep an eye out for it in the future. Human growth, etc, etc... Conversations can sometimes just happen organically and not center around one person.

I like how after Gore failed to make 1 yard on those three plays he rewarded him with two 4th and goals he then failed on as well. Daboll's ahead of his time alright. No, Daboll's holding this team back. He's no good. In games he keeps doing what doesn't work and refuses to continue doing what does. He just moves on to something else and does his best to avoid hot players. I've never seen anything like it.

Josh Allen - week EIGHT report card
Bobby Hooks replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I might be in the minority but i don't see this game being on Allen at all. The only time we did anything on offense is when he ran out of his head trying not to be killed. I'll be the first to blame the QB when he is at fault but this one was on the o-line, and the run D. I honestly believe Allen's struggle are stemming from misuse. I think we need to accept who he is and let him play. He's at his best when the offense is moving fast, he's in the zone (out of his head), and he can be creative. Daboll's overthinking it. Dial up some pass plays and if it's not open let Allen do Allen things. He's 10x better when he's running off his competitiveness and fire. Will it come with some hiccups? Of course. Will he turn the ball over, of course. But i think it'll come with loads of fun and td's too. You picked him, now let him do his thing. -
Put Bills trade talks today here.

We can't have both? I'd like a new monster in the middle of the line that will make those 5-10 tackles. What we have right now wont cut it. -
Ed Oliver vs Miami Sack Prediction
Bobby Hooks replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think people get too hung up on this stat for DTs. He has a ton of pressures which in many ways is just as good as a sack. Especially if you get a trigger happy qb. I’d rather have a pressure forced int than a sack for two yards. Sacks are nice and look good on a stat sheet. But keeping a qb uncomfortable for an entire game is much more valuable than two flashy highlight plays a game. The problem is is we don’t have a truly elite DE to capitalize. Hughes is good but we need a true sack artist. Probably going to be our biggest concern in the offseason if we don’t pull off a trade by deadline. I’d be a big fan of trying to pull this off, no matter the cost (draft pick wise) we have a team and schedule poised to make big noise in the AFC this year. -

How fun would it be if everyone all made a short non-frills professional response to everything? No personality allowed? I think you read my words in an unintended tone. If you were next to me and I said it there’s no way you’d take it as personally as you seem to be. Is the comment about his avatar okay? Just making sure, don’t want to cross the line. He didn’t specifically ask about the avatar so o may have been out of bounds. -

He asked for fans opinions. Oh, i get it, you want to make this another PB related post about you. Weird. Not "this", he asked for fans opinions. -

What's next a reality show? Just not into this superfan celebrity movement. Your avatar on the other hand... -
Updated - RayRay Cut by the Panthers *Re-signed by Bills
Bobby Hooks replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What about consistency? Who else would you bring in (right now) that could step in right away in an emergency situation that already knows the playbook? Can we upgrade next year? Of course, but until then, why not? The questions shouldn't be "can we do better?" the question should be "can we do better right now?" The realistic answer outside of some crazy trade scenario is no. So, again, why is this even a thing? Cheap. Knows the playbook. No brainer. EDIT: (after reading your edit) oops. sorry, misread your post. point still works, just not for you. i agree with your post. -

Meh, he knows the offense and is a cheap emergency option. Don't really get the problem. Not sure why it's even a thing. -
Will people stop quoting that line from Stripes, please?! I know it's easier than thinking up thinks on your own, but that movie is not that good and needs to stop. Also, wow, you went on a bit of a name-calling tirade there, huh? I can also call names but being that i'm an adult with reasonable intelligence i'll refrain. I may not have made the thread and predicted this Browns self destruction as you seem to think, but i did predict you would find any and all ways to save yourself the mature response of taking accountability. But really it doesn't matter, you're just doing what most humans would do, read, take words personally, and attack. Personally, i don't like being put into boxes and being so predictable but you seem to thrive there. Congrats?

Kaepernick Black-balled?
Bobby Hooks replied to Never NEVER Give-up's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Political commentary aside, he wants to be a starter and paid as one as well. He wasn’t all that good at the end of his career and would be a back-up. Not worth the money or the attention and distraction he’d be every week. This is is a non-story and needs to go away. -
The prediction was for 2-5... "I’ll bet 800 of my rep points the Browns are no better than 2-5 by October 20. Any takers?" So there was actually no better time to post the prediction. He could have waited til after and taken no accountability if he was wrong, or gloated after he was proven right. He's actually putting himself in a position where he has to take accountability which is sorely missing from these boards. I don't know you, but if i can use the boards MO to properly predict your response it will either be complete silence or some sort of post using moot points to somehow get you out of actually admitting you posted before knowing the facts. There's a saying in the English south "you have to put your mind in gear before you drive your mouth."
