Barnwell changes his tune. 🎺
Bobby Hooks replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Too little to late for a lot of these guys. Barnwell especially. He’s clearly spin doctoring the situation to look like he was right to doubt him far longer than many other pundits. He refused to pick up what most fans saw clear as day. A young inexperienced guy learning very quickly how to be a franchise qb. It took until he had no other option but to acknowledge what was so painfully clear to anyone actually paying attention. -
Anybody surprised at the lack of running thus far?
Bobby Hooks replied to DCofNC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t get why this is such an issue for people. We’ll run when we have to. The pass is working and Josh is on fire. Have we not watched enough run first football for twenty years? I for one am ecstatic to finally have a fun offense to watch. -
Why I Love Watching Josh Allen play
Bobby Hooks replied to LB48's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m a big fan of watching Allen play. He’s like the antithesis of watching Tuhrod. He’s just fun out there. He wants to make things happen and he doesn’t shy away from difficult throws. Also, he likes using his biggest weapons instead of using them as decoys. It’s the way football is meant to be played. Yes, you’ll make mistakes, but you’ll also make the game fun and interesting to watch. -
Mea culpa...I was wrong about Trent Murphy...
Bobby Hooks replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean, to anyone watching the games it was evident he was doing well at the tail end of last season too. He played excellent in the playoff game. So I do agree that if op did only come to this conclusion from this game alone it’s a little suspect. But if you also factored last seasons games (especially at the end of the year) there are more games to go off of. I know it seems to be the new cool thing to say, but the “lets get rid of Murphy and bring in x, y, and z.” Was a tad shortsighted as the games he played anywhere near 100% he was playing at a high level. -
Lack of RB Production is limiting this Team

Against the Jets? Yes. You didnt think it was sufficient? -
Lack of RB Production is limiting this Team
Bobby Hooks replied to Lieutenant Aldo Raine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ugh... so this is the new thing we’ve found to be “concerned” about? It was one week vs a VERY good run D. We game planned and adjusted to win with the passing game. It’s what good teams do. In the immortal words of Aaron Rodgers “relax.” -
Does Josh deserve a little criticism? Sure. But it’s not just these two knuckleheads, it’s everywhere. I saw QBs misfiring everywhere. For the most part, Josh did well, and in many cases better than a lot of these other QBs. I do think its odd that they demand perfect mistake free football from the guy they considered a garbage fire raw prospect. But everyone else gets the benefit of the doubt because of no preseason, etc.

Bills not coming out for National Anthem
Bobby Hooks replied to DE Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills werent out there for the anthem? That’s disgusting! I wish I coulda saw that, I woulda been outraged. I was busy stealing from my old lady neighbor while she was at the hospital getting put back together after a nasty fall. I told her I’d watch the house but just took the opportunity to take things I like and break things that I didn’t. But back to the Bills missing the anthem. I’m absolutely disgusted! Get it? I’m a gross person doing terrible things and I’m disgusted because a football team is peacefully protesting. Get it?! -
Have You Ever Attended A Bills Home Game
Bobby Hooks replied to LB3's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ve been to multiple games every year since I was a child. This will be the first year ive missed the opener in many years. Nothing beats the electric (positive energy) atmosphere of an opener. Nothing. Ive thought of getting seasons but there’s never tickets available where I like to sit. So it’s easier just picking and choosing from the games I want to go to. Ive never had a bad experience. Even the cold games were fun. I’ve heard of people having bad times from unruly fans, etc. but I’ve never experienced that. I feel like I’m many of those cases people are looking for something to whine about. Typically if you’re looking for something hard enough in a sea of 80k people, most of which have consumed a fair amount of suds, you’ll find it. -
Jalen Ramsey extension with Rams - 5 years/105 mill
Bobby Hooks replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What does Allen have to do with anything? We’re talking about Tre’s deal. Has nothing to with anything else you’re bringing up. Beane did an excellent job. -
Jalen Ramsey extension with Rams - 5 years/105 mill
Bobby Hooks replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t think we have to see how the season plays out first at all. Everyone knows how good Tre is, and he got him signed at an absolute steal. Whether or not he performs isn’t up to Beane, Beane did His part and he did an excellent job. Tre was getting paid regardless. Such a weird phenomenon that some Bills fans have to be guarded at all times. Nothing can ever just be a good thing. -
Bills and Tre close to extension?
Bobby Hooks replied to Clemfield2622's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand it stalling. No one wants to be the first. They all want to get the highest contract. Expect each one to be slightly higher than the next. -
[Misleading Title] Mr Negativity
Bobby Hooks replied to WIDE LEFT's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because there was nothing wrong with him and he could have changed the complexion of the game completely. Does this really have to be explained? An injury vs. nothing wrong but a bunk test. Yeah, not comparable. -
[Misleading Title] Mr Negativity
Bobby Hooks replied to WIDE LEFT's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s actually a legitimate concern, but mostly because of false positive tests. It happened to Stafford and now a number of the Bills. Before it happened to Allen and the Bills people roasted me for saying false positives would lead to an asterisk year. But yeah if Allen and company are held out of a big game for a false positive you’d better believe I’m not taking this year seriously. Same will go for other teams fans if their players are kept out of big games. -
Bills benefit if schedule is changed...
Bobby Hooks replied to Mij yllek's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is exactly the kind of thing I was worried about. If something like this happened and it just so happened to end in our first championship. You’d better believe most football fans would consider this an asterisk year. -
If someone beat us because Allen was held out of and important game with a false positive would you consider it fair? I dont think many many people would. With that said id be into a delay. Give the NFL and teams more time to get it right. I feel right now things are being rushed and will lead to many mistakes and issues down the line.
-
Did you see the false positive for Stafford? Normal injury, no. But if players are held out of important games and it turns out to be from a false positive you better believe this season comes with an asterisk to the winner. Not just that, let’s say a player comes out covid positive and the Bills played them the week before. Do we then have to quarantine? Many things like this will come up all season long. You think i want a greasy season right when the Bills seem to be ready for that next step? Heck no. But unfortunately, here we are. Full greez.
-
So he wants a new deal? I don’t completely disagree with that. The thing about this season, now especially with covid cases , opt outs, and this new false positive issue is even if you do well it will instantly comes with a built in asterisk. Im not saying we’d win a championship but even if we did it would feel like a pretty greasy first championship.

Jets release Quincy Enunwa (career might be over)

After watching that game After watching that game my buddy picked him up in fantasy. We both thought they could potentially have a star on their hands. -

Okay, okay, maybe I did react too hastily. It kinda felt like I was being met with the “don’t like it, leave!” response. I agree with you, on most points, I just think the NFL is going to go it’s usual route and smash something in the watchers faces until they actually feel hostile about it. I feel this message deserves a little tact and subtlety. We need conversations, not opinions being pushed down throats. There’s entirely too much of that and it’s never coming from a place in the middle. It’s always leaning very far to one side. That will only serve to divide even more in my opinion. I much like yourself will not stop watching. I just hope they do it right is all. Because one thing we can all be sure of, is that they will in fact, do it. -

I was just offering my opinion on the subject in a non- confrontational-open-minded way. Thanks for letting me know I have the ability to turn my own tv off though. Fun conversation. Reminds me why I typically walk away from them.
