  1. Way to try and turn it around, but no. You snidely commented on my post, not the other way around. Obviously something I said got under your skin, and I guessed right as you’ve made it very clear in this post that you’re trying very hard to assure us you’re comfy in your own skin. I just don’t think people that are as comfortable as you claim to be have to explain it to anyone. I’m perfectly happy in my choice not to wear new player’s jerseys. It seems odd to me, and it doesn’t matter one bit how you feel about it. If it doesn’t seem odd to you, that’s great. But then why do you care how I feel about it?
  2. I was illustrating a certain vibe. Never once said it didn’t happen in other times, just that that’s how I’d feel wearing a 20 year olds jacket. Like a 50’s chick in pig tails wearing her boyfriends letterman jacket, saying things like neato and cool cat. Did you really take exception with me specifically calling out 50’s or is it that you’re a grown man that wears the name of a 20 something year old kid on your back?
  3. I stopped buying jerseys as soon as I became older than the players the jersey represented. Something just feels weird about wearing a 20 something year old kids name on my back like a 50’s girlfriend wearing her boyfriend’s varsity jacket.
  4. I think it definitely feels like a process move, we’re just on the next step of the process. First you build the foundation, then when it’s pretty much built, you push in your chips and go for it. This signals to me that they realize they’re ready to make a serious push. Windows don’t typically stay open as long as they did for the pats. You usually get a few realistic shots and then you have to pay guys, guys get hurt, coaches get bigger opportunities, etc. Not saying we can’t be good for a long time with the coaches and GM we have in place, but you have to take your chances when they come. It looks to me that they think right now they’re ready, and are pushing those chips in.
  5. I think technically I’m piggy backing Royale. You wouldn’t know a good Gene unless it had Levi’s slapped on the pocket.
  6. Gene Hackman would be my #2. But yeah, Wilder’s definitely #1.
  7. The other question is why does it bother you so much that some people overlook it? Does it really upset you that some Bills fans don’t think the chiefs are the greatest team to ever strap up? The Bucs played an outstanding game and the chiefs weren’t allowed to hold their receivers all game. Believe it or not they really were getting away with huge potentially game changing penalties all year long.
  8. If “loving sports” is sitting here debating all the ways the Chiefs are better than the Bills I guess I don’t love it. Doesn’t seem fun or entertaining at all. Sounds less fun than watching an afc championship game where the refs allowed KCs defensive backs to hold our receivers every single play under the guise of “sticky coverage.”
  9. I never had anything against them until recently. Their fanbase has flowered into an absolutely loathsome group. You’d never hear anything from them until they started winning. Now they’re in every comment section worldwide spitting their tactless garbage mouths off at the slightest hint of someone saying something remotely positive about their own team. They simply can’t stomach someone saying anything about another team without mentioning how good KC is. My point is this, I always thought the Pats fans were the worst In terms of arrogance. They actually had decades worth of winning and excellence to draw from, and seeing now what a few seasons worth of excellent football can do to a fanbase I’m thinking they weren’t actually all that bad.
  10. I mean, I certainly have my opinions about it. But really what are we doing here? Debating why the chiefs are better than us? Seems like a silly way to spend our time. I’m sure we’re all a little right. Going by the original premise, the guy said Mahomes and Allen was the biggest gap. Going by that and that alone, I think the gap between Knox and Kelce is the largest gap, and to me it’s not even debatable. Are there other reasons why we lost, sure. But to sit here and try to convince others what is the biggest reason seems pretty silly to me.
  11. I was commenting on the bolded giant letters and exclamation point. It was pretty clear you disagreed. Your point doesn’t get more valid the louder you make it. Do you employ that tactic in everyday conversations? If so, I bet there are many times you walk away feeling the victor when in actuality they were probably just trying to get you to calm down and stop spitting your lunch in their face. You have a lot of hot button bumper stickers on your hatchback don’t you?
  12. Not to mention Allen was 2nd in mvp voting. So… I agree, if there’s a big gap it’s Kelce vs. Knox. Not Allen vs. Mahomes.
  13. Just thought I’d stop by and say I really like the Bills too. And as a member with over 80 mug of beer reactions that might be thread worthy.
  14. Why take away 25 of his receptions? It’s obvious he didn’t have 350 but had a decent amount more than 300. So they picked the highest amount that still looked pleasing to the eye. 25 catches the way he does it without a fumble is pretty significant.
  15. I mean, it was my main point so I’m glad you were able to pick up on it. I’m not so concerned with the health of the non vaccinated as they don’t seem to be very concerned with it. But I am interested in how Sweeney feels about all of this considering his entire season was derailed by it. I’m sure he’s probably keeping mostly to himself with his opinions considering he’s a young guy. But he’d have a much more educated insight than say Cole Beasley.
  16. So by that logic only the unvaccinated are at risk. Which seems to be quite a few. So yeah, maybe the vaccinated players themselves aren’t at risk, but the season is. If we have an outbreak, and some players have to be hospitalized or quarantined this affects everyone. Vaccinated and non vaccinated. Why even take the risk? So you can prove you don’t have to get the shot? Just seems so silly to me.
  17. I just think it’s funny/odd that the people who are the most “my body, my choice” ie being anti mask-anti vax. Seem to be the most vocal and least respectful to the people making choices for their own body.
  18. What’s Twitter? Just kidding, I’ve heard of it, but I’ve never even looked at it before. So if I know about this obviously it’s made it to real life.
  19. Just wanted to stop by and say I couldn’t agree more. Cole really let me down with this one. Just completely taking the best chance the Bills and their fans have had in so many years to do/experience something special and completely making it about himself. Like you said, you don’t want the shot, fine. But to do this? To add controversy, to completely tear a hole in the fabric of what’s been worked on and worked toward for so many years building a winning culture, and he singlehandedly creates a divide between players and fans? Why? It’s the absolute height of arrogance, not only to not get the shot but to take something special and making it your personal bumper sticker/soapbox moment. Totally disgusted. All I’m imagining is the Bills finally winning the super bowl, and players and fans are celebrating something we’ve all wanted for so long. Someone gets up to say we’re going to Disneyland and instead starts an anti vax rant. Awesome. Thanks Cole, it’s not like I haven’t waited over 30 years for this, go ahead make it about you. Cool.
  20. I mean, they were proven wrong but yeah, to most “analysts” he was at the time.
  21. Surprised Stevenson didn’t make the list.
  22. Wow you’re really trying to keep this thread reigned in. This JA hurdle vs. team hurdle really seems to be a hard sticking point for you. Any chance you’ll actually provide an opinion or are you just here to police others on theirs?
